If we don't need him in the Dampier aquisition I'd only trade him if the perfect trade came along. He can contribute in the improved Knick lineup...plus his poor play at the end of the year that was partly due to his injury put his trade stock at an all time low. Let him play some and build it back up.

Kurt will be fine if he stays with the Knicks. He is healthy now and will go through a full training camp with Steph to tell him where he likes to get the ball. That is if he is around. For some reason, I don't think a sign n trade with GS is going to happen unless it comes out like a rabbit out of a hat.

Honestly, Kurt is a pretty good player for us. Him and Marbury have developed some nice chemistry and the only player I would trade Kurt for is Dampier (unless another good deal comes up). If we can somehow get Dampier for the MLE, I think Kurt and Dampier would be a solid frontcourt for us defensively and offensively.

Ship him out - I would love it, but is Sweets really ready to fill those shoes? KT could at least start and play a little ball (although I was never a fan).
Sweets needs to break out this season, maybe removing KT from the equation allows that to happen? I see JYD as our #2 and Baker more in the 5 spot or the bench.

Gosh, too much depth, too much talent at each position is a problem I'm so HAPPY to have. Remember this team went 77-115 in 2 and 1/2 years before Isiah took over?

Man, to have that kind of depth is...priceless. You can't complain if what you have is an asset to the team. The more the merrier for the LONG NBA season.

to me the key to this season is Sweetney. every effort has to be made to get him into 30+minutes. to have someone who has the ability to score close to 20 points grab 10 rebounds and shoot 50% is key for this team. i like the jamal crawford trade but i would still warn that I dont beleiev in anyway it will haev a material effect on W-Ls. It will help us and hopefully help us more going into the future. the addition of Dampier as well SHOULD move us to a 47-50 win team. I moved my win total with jamal up to 44 with a downside of 40.

Id be willing to move KT to Phoenix for the Bulls #1 pick in 2005 and Eisley. That would relieve us of payroll and give us an unprotected pick in next years draft.

no reason this team can play 10 guys like the Grizz did. We have the depth. Get everyone playing at a high level and winning games. See what happens to their trade value.
If we sign Dampier, then Nazr goes to the bench. OR we could just trade him for a draft pick to Utah or something like that. KT and Nazr have very manageable contracts to work with.
OR just let these guys figh for minutes. Remember Lenny last year? No defense no minutes.

Briggs I like and agree with you on Sweetney, but remember he's 21. 30 plus minutes is probably ambitious. Hey, maybe he comes into camp is tears it up... anything is possible.
Your right he's certainly a big key moving forward, and he's unique on this roster. Plus he's one of my favorite player hands down.

yeah so amare stoudemire just hit 21 Carlos boozer is 22 Zach Randolph is 22 what these guys received is opportunity and minutes. Sweetney IMHO deserves opporunity and minutes--which i think he has earned

Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years.
First Leon move I hate

IMHO, an athletic 5 is what puts us to the next level. To take a chance[and you will end up with something real good no matter what] and cut into long term payroll is just about all we can do right now. We have to many PF--getting rid of KT for what would inevitably be a high pick would be nice. I think Pheonix--already owning a pick and wanting to dump Eisley would highly consider it.
