Noah, Jennings, Randle, Lee, Kuzminskas, Hernangomez . . .

This is quantity in which there's likely to be some quality.

So you have to give Phil Jackson props for enginnering this, even if it's too
bad that Lopez and Williams are gone.

Then there's Rambis. He has his limitations, so I understand how Hornacek is
a promising alternative.

Overall, this is really pretty good . . . as long as they're really going to run the
Triangle after "8 seconds".

I'm fine with pushing the ball quickly . . . and then setting up the Triangle
if there's no immediate opportunity.

But that means you still gotta learn and develope the Triangle.

The Knicks were not a mature Triangle team last year by any means. And now
there are new people with little or no experience.

If a Triangle workshop made sense in May . . . it makes even more sense now.

That's what I'm waiting to see . . .

One misunderstanding is that the Triangle ALWAYS had Early Transition as part of the offense. So really the failure of our team to effectively run the floor and get easy buckets wasn't about the Triangle.

Learn the seven dimensions of a sound offense

An effective offense, to my way of thinking, features the following dimensions.
1. Penetration. Players must penetrate the defense, and the best way to do this is the fast break, because basketball is a full-court game, from baseline to baseline.

Finally, I want the offense to flow from rebound to fast break, to quick offense, to a system of offense. The defenses in the NBA are so good because the players are so big, quick, and well coached. Add the pressure that the 24-second clock rule applies to the offense to find a good shot, and the defense gets even better.

So I think JH's main focus will be on MASSIVELY improving that very first part of the offense. Pushing the ball and probing the defense looking for early offense. If there are no scoring opportunities then I suspect they'll use SOME Side Triangle but also a few other looks that JH will add to the mix.

I expect JH to tweak the Triangle so that he can do some of the things he's always done. Moving players further out behind the 3pt line. Using the Spurs "Hammer Play", which shouldn't be a problem adding to the Triangle.

The main thing is just tweaking the Triangle so that JH can make better use of the talent on this roster. Making them less predictable and more efficient.

If Russel or OK4 was available, he would've jumped on them instead, and it would've been a disaster.....Just my belief. I agree. I was just reacting to Russell staying in okc. Also, I think you are right about Rose/Jennings. I think one of them gets a long term deal. Also, Rose, Jennings, and Jrue are the top free agent point guards in 17 I believe.
