We're 4 deep at the 3 (Melo's still a high-minute player, then there's Lance, N'Dour and Kuz). Not sure how they all get time. One or two of these guys may not play unless the plan is to play some of them at the 4, but then at whose expense? O'Quinn's? Willy's? Really hope it's not Willy. From the little I've seen--I believe in Willy's post game. I think he's gonna be a real nice surprise, probably at the 5 so that would me O'Quinn's PT is in jeopardy when you think about getting all these SFs we have enough time...Very interested to see who's in and who's out by the time it starts. If it comes down to pure talent and impact, it wouldn't surprise me if Lance is the one on the outside looking in. Just sayin'.. To me, Lance has earned a spot on the roster but not guaranteed playing time like some have suggested. That's crazy to say and very close-minded. Lance isn't a star player--he hasn't earned that kind of coddling. There's no way, after seeing what Kuz and N'Dour can do, that you tell me Lance is an automatic over these two at this time. How do you figure that??

Don't underestimate Lance. He's a very dependable 3nD SF. He knows how to play team ball and he's smart and knows the league. IMO it's gonna be hard for either of Kuz or Ndour to take minutes from him. They will most likely play because of rest days and the faster pace, so they'll have ample opportunity to earn minutes.

I hear you on Lance--he's competent and capable, I'm just still perplexed over someone telling me the other day that Lance hands down has already locked up a spot over those two. I mean really? How can anyone say that right now? How can anyone say that after seeing what N'Dour did against Tristan Thompson defensively in that Canada/Senegal clip and also thinking back to how he played in SL last year for us (the D on Jahil Okafor, the offense he showed, etc.) and then also with Kuz as well--look what that dude did against James Harden and TEAM USA. If those weren't true eye-opening performances, I don't know what are. To me, Kuz and N'Dour pass the eye test in a BIG WAY from what I've seen.. All I'm saying.. Let's see what happens. I hope Hornacek approaches this with an open mind. I believe he will. You figure the Knicks knew Lance was always a definite to return--yet they still pursued Kuz and then N'Dour. Unless they see Lance as strictly a 3 and these other two as hybrid 3/4s. But then if that's the case, O'Quinn could be the guy on the outside looking in. Ahh, good problem to have I guess. Hornacek will figure it out.

HA! Yeah I saw that too, but I he was working on being able to hit the shot somewhat fatigued. He wasn't focused on where he feet were for the purposes of this kind of drill.

The only thing different from some might be that he is doing it at 6 am.

Also shot 40% from 3 and about 87% from the FT line...in somewhat crowded "gyms."

This is why I think by mid-season, our best lineup will likely be Porzingis, Thomas, Melo, Lee and Rose.

I see him much more as a Battier type.
