Was sending $10 mil in expiring contracts for Jamal and The Junk Yard Dod a good or a bad trade for the Knicks?

Unfortunately, that's the best tribute I can offer Old Frankie. Yeah, the one we knew and loved. Look, Frank was a nice diversion during the annihilation we suffered last post-season. And thats about it. Maybe, if we're lucky, he'll do us a lasting favor and sock Shandon on the way out.

Its true. The legend of Frank Williams rings solemn through the walls of the Garden. Frank was an enraged beast out there, a real wild animal. He savagely popped Kidd in the chest and maybe contributed to his knee injury somehow. He let loose on unsuspecting Richard Jefferson, almost battering the poor fool, before the refs got in the way (unfortunately). Frank was truly inspirational. But, who was next? The annoying red head, Scalabrine? Kenyon himself? Now, we'll never know...

I would have done one for Othella as well but his on-court fighting resume is rather lacking.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Hmm a team full of swingmen and no inside presence whatsoever. Reminds me of a team ive seen before. A team that was so bad that everyone talked about the need to stop adding swingmen and start adding inside presence. If only i could remember the teams name...

Boy oh boy do we have swingmen, and they all want to shoot the ball too. To bad there isnt anybody to get the rebounds and defend other teams' centers. But that doesnt matter, all we have to do is add MORE swingmen. Surely that can solve our problems.

So lets give all our trading chips and money away so we can add more swingmen to sit on the bench. Our army of less than mediocre forwards can thwart the inside game of any opponent. Besides we have a center. Nazr Mohammed is the future, remember?

Yeah, it was reminding me of the Bulls from the mid 90s too

Listen to this one... As if we have the best player in the world on our team. Jamal Crawford is our bench player bro, remember that. He is inconsistent and overpaid. Sorry if i sound sore at this team but the image of our 6-7 larry Johnson trying to score on the 7-1 Duncan in the finals still flashes through my mind and this team hasnt done ANYTHING to rectify that up to NOW, nothing at all.

Wow these things are messing with my mind. Last I remember the yes's had a 16-2 edge, then someone brings up the Bulls/Knicks trade poll and the no's have a 15-14 edge. Took a minute to get everything straightened out.
It was a different scenario in that old poll. It was before we knew we could get Dampier for the MLE (or at least Baker and still have money left over)

dont stop with Paxson... give the whole Bulls organization credit for all the great moves they have made over the last 6 years
Big LOL!

thats funny, then pax hasnt been talking to his "cap specialist." He wont be under the cap unless he renounces Curry and Chandler's rights. If he does that he cant resign both of them. Either way they are both restricted FAs so he doesnt have to do anything.
Exactly; REGARDLESS of this trade, they could re-sign both Chandler and fat Eddy if they want to.

...damn GOOD trade for US!

I'm not surprised that most who responded to the poll feel the same way. Cap, schmap, whateva. Our Roster Got Better. That's what matters most- increasing the amount of athleticism and talent on this team.

As far as cap relief, after this coming season's over (with this current roster), Penny, TT, Nazr and Moochie will all have one year left on their contracts. IMO, with those deals being larger (especially Penny and TT's contracts), Isiah has more tradeable assets for next season if the right deal comes along.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
