I feel like this team needs to find a player to play the Steve Novak/Extra E role to come off the bench and nail a couple of 3 point daggers. Any thoughts who that could be?

He's not the guy for that. We need to sign Kevin Martin.

So what happens if mid season hes our leading 3pt shooter off the bench.....novicane and martin are great shooters.....but everything else is terrible. Mindy is a good shooter and brings other skills that some shooters dont have.

One thing im not going to do is say what a player is not, before he plays his first nba game. Learn from the mistakes on predicting what KP and other euro players would do in the nba. One thing is certain.....the gap between international players and nba players are closing. Just like i predicted KPs success. ....i think this new guy will surprise everybody.....

Quick first step......plays above the rim.......and a knock down shooter.

Thats a dangerous combination to have.....

Novak was a fun player to have, but he was exposed big time. He can shoot the lights out but can't do anything else. That's why you haven't heard about him since he's been in the Knicks.

That's ok. I'm just talking about someone who can come in for a few minutes at a time, a roll player, who can spread the floor, get hit some threes, and change the complexion of the offense. Say you have Lee and player X on the three point line and Melo and KP on the blocks. Who are you going to double off of?

How about I don't worry about who to double off of, and I don't worry about the one or two threes that your role player is going to hit; I spend my time getting the rebound and then exploiting your defensive liability at the other end of the floor.

and aggressive in attacking the rim and he will be around players that get more attention than himself here. He's in a good position to help the team. Obviously he's got to crack the rotation, but he brings a nice skill set and size. I agree.

Jennings, Mindy, Holiday...... 3 pt shooters off the bench.

Melo, KP, Lee.......3 pt shooter starting

All of these guys bring more to the table than just shooting.....but the defense must respect their
Shooting so they will help spread the floor......

Rose and Noah should have a field day compared to the bulls with more space......and movement.

"Mindy" seems to have progressed as a shooter from deep...not sure we can depend on him yet, but hopefully we can at some point.

I really do see him as being very similar to Williams, a career 30% shooter from 3.

Here are his stats from Europe:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/euro/players/mindaugas-kuzminskas-1.html

About 32/33% from the 3pt line. Best year was last season where he was near 34%.

Can Novak hit a 3 with someone in his grill now? Its what made him easy to trade. The first round draft pick hurt a lot more.

I've always believed that each time you add a versatile talent it has an exponential impact on your team. As you say we have enough three point threats to open up lanes for Rose and Noah. I see a TON of potential for this team offensively. It's going to be very interesting to see how Hornacek uses this group of talent.
