This is a joke. I actually used to root for the Warriors after the Knicks but now i'll root against them. I hate teams that sellout and players that sellout.

Hopefully the Spurs make the finals this year and it'll be sweet sweet irony

What do you mean? They're supposed to tell good players not to sign with them?

I don't fault the team, but yeah, West is chasing a ring. I hope this goes the same way as the Spurs experience.

However, he is kinda what they need, just don't know how much he has left in the tank.

Yeah they signed ZPac right after they trade Bogut and his $11 mil to Dallas. All these so called NBA experts were saying that they could be in trouble losing Bogut cause he was such a useful big man but i knew that one of these legit big men would just sign with them on a vet min contract which is just what happened and when ZPac is healthy he's a good player and now they get D.West and they could probably get any other vet that's out there that they wanted as well. I understand that it's all about getting a ring but how much fun is gonna be when you already know who the western and eastern champs are gonna be? I knew it was gonna be GSW and Clev before last season even started to but i thought there were other teams that had a chance but not this year. IMO it's selling out on both sides.

When it rains it pours, but they are reaping the benefits of building their core through the draft and opportunistic trades. Can't blame them for knowing how to build a franchise. Now they have the luxury of trading their worst starter for a guy called Kevin Durant. Now if they had traded Klay and the pick that became Green for trade for Kobe or a broken down Wade, then you would have something closer to home.

Like the moment you buy a lotto ticket and imagine what you would do with that new found imaginary wealth, I am sitting here considering how I would feel when the Knicks bad boys out brawl the Warriors in the NBA finals and take home our next chip. A dollar and a dream.

On the otherhand, while it must be fun to be a Warriors fan right now, it must kind of feel like playing an NBA2k game with trades unlocked and giving yourself every 99 rated player. Sure beat those 93 Bulls... jokes on them though. Someone unlocked the Player Creater function and made a 7'3 guy with max shooting, dunking, rebounding and dribbles.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Dreams are great. Very hard to see anyone best the Warriors this year. Barring injury they come out of the West then grind it out with the Cavs again. That team isn't build to grind, but they can outscore anyone and the Cavs can only defend so many positions. They have to hide Kyrie and Love on defense.

This is the way the league is now. It's on Silver and the NBA to step in and make changes. I've always said that players aren't rewarded enough to stay loyal. The fifth year on the contract isn't enough. The original team should be able to offer 50% more money per year or some ridiculous number or things will never change.

Dave West gave up exactly what you are talking about ($$$$) to do just this, so what is the problem?

At first I thought you meant Delonte and thought that it was his break because I heard he became homeless.

Trying to figure out why the Warriors and Durant are suddenly sellouts though.

Y'all realize that if they can't win with the roster they have then they have to start all over and that could be years of futility again for them.

West has already given up millions to chase a ring, probably giving up more to go to GS. I admire his willingness to give up on that much money, so close to retiring, to be a champion.

honestly they are better off GETTING OUT of the West or joining em if they want to WIN

It is not ISO BALL, they have a system and philosophy that EVERYONE would enjoy playing in

3 ELITE Shooters and + Draymond Green as the point/forward and Center with Durant, they are unstoppable
They no longer have to take poor shots, wide open 3's, or layups/dunks

Portland and The Bucks are the only 2 teams that currently match up with them
West is on his last years, he put his mouth and money on the line to chase his dream, why not for West?
He can still contribute...

Durant no longer has to worry about poor shot selection and have schemes that will work while getting a taste of winning and GS
OKC traded Harden, traded Ibaka (who took a discount at the time), who knows who they would trade in the future, so why would he want to put his faith in that franchise?
Maybe Westbrook doesn't want to commit to em long term either?

Because he left so much loot on the table last year chasing a ring he had to double down again this year since he rolled craps with the Spurs. If he gets a ring but only plays a few minutes a game and barely in the playoffs (a la Mitch Richmond) can you really be that proud of a ring? Especially since you had to chase after it?

West wouldn't get signed to one contender after another if they didnt believe he could contribute. Bench players have an important role in winning championships. If West played his role in winning a ring, then absolutely he should be proud. More proud than looking for the biggest payday.
