Just a thought...

Speights was also mentioned somewhere else as having to go.

Kuzmic knows the system, can be signed for pennies, and won't have to do that much on that team- block some shots, rebound, look tall in the middle, set picks, and finish on some pick and rolls.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Would be hilarious if nobody takes Bogut of their hands

I think we could have done better by not making any moves and then signing someone like Barnes and taking Bogut off their hands for a pick or two.

Barnes? To play SF or PF at the max when you have KP and Melo? You do realize that Barnes has an offer from Mavs, right?

I would love to see Speights have to play somewhere else. I thought Speights was going to be a much better pro. He found his golden goose but went as far as to call out LBJ.

GS to Kuzmic on July 3rd...

"Ah, Ognjen, you mind leaving that low scoring Triangle loving squad in Orlando to come to Vegas and practice with us. We just might have an spot for you on our roster. We're making some minor moves to open up some space, just so you can play with us. Nothing big, mind you, but we'd like you in Vegas ASAP."

Yeah...Barnes is gone as soon as he gets that phone call from GS.

He would have no place on the Knicks- and I'm not even sure I would have wanted him.

Besides this being a 20/20 hindsight deal, Martin is right that would make no sense for the Knicks. The Knicks had very specific needs going into FA and they addressed those needs as best they could.

What they could do is look to see if they can work a trade of KOQ. Maybe that is more realistic.

Would be happy to trade him...but does he have any value even with his contract?

Would be better if there was a team, and not a player option at the end.

Wouldn't you have to trade him for a player with a similar contract situation who a team did not want but we wanted, or to a team with cap space trying to get above the minimum cap level. We would probably thrown is a 2nd round pick.

Any other teams feel KOQ has value?

It almost seems like GSW knew that they were gonna need a big man on a cheap contract before KD actually committed to them......Hmmmmmmmmmm something funny going on like maybe KD already told them he was coming there??
