So i saw that the Knicks are interested in R.Foye to be our backup PG and why didn't we trade a future 2nd round pick to Utah for T.Burke like the Wizards did?? The Wizards traded a 2021 2nd round pick to Utah for Burke and we could of offered one of our 2019 2nd round picks, now of course i have no idea if we were at least looking at doing that or if Phil at least spoke with Utah about it and decided against it but it seems like a hell of a deal for Burke.

I wouldn't mind getting R.Foye as our backup PG but the tweet said we have to find a way to get cap space to make it happen.

Right now we have a $5M cap hold for DWill on the roster... if he doesn't re-sign, we have $5M more in cap space. Most we can offer DWill is his cap hold +20%, so about $6M per season. Not sure he can take that - he can prob get more on the open market.

Not a huge loss to lose DWill, but I would like to do better than Randy Foye. Foye was terrible for OKC in the playoffs.

The fact that a team does a move doesn't mean the rest of the league was aware that posibility existed. Also, could we have absorved Burke now, considering the FA deals we have in place?

Right but you would think that if a team was offering a 2nd round pick that they'll do their work to find out if any other team would be willing to offer more rather than just accept that deal.

2021. Wow. I agree. I think Burke would have been a great pick up especially at that price.

He is at 3.3 mil I think. Also he is in the last year of his contract. I might be off on the contract, I checked when it first came up that they were looking to move him.

I heard that we're already looking at options to trade KOQ which i'm sure would be for a legit backup PG.
