I do not see us being able to keep Derrick Williams with just a 20% raise with this NBA crazy spending frenzy, in fact I do not see us keeping Lance Thomas with his early bird rights (probably could have resigned him had we not cut him originally with his full bird rights)
Unless these players take less in hopes for a greater reward next summer on a 1 and 1 deal
As for Galloway, we have the ability to match but how much do we want to commit to him?
Just saying, would you rather have Seth Curry or Galloway if their price is the same?
Seth is the way better shooter, while Galloway is a solid ROLE PLAYER that allows him to defend some PG's and some SG's
Trades
==========
Denver, Boston, Utah, Sun's are some teams that have many young players/draft picks, future draft picks, with limiting roster spots and are stocked in some positions that we may be able to acquire some players
Denver has many young players with 4 draft picks (though one was a 2nd rounder, 3 are 1st rounders and they do not have much roster spots, TRADES will be certainly go down, it will depend on which players/what they can get, and they likeley would prefer trading with a East player then in the West...
There are many reasonable talents on reasonable salaries
Would have been nice if we drafted Jovic instead of drafting Early
Will Barton + Jeff Lauv (RFA and has a similar game to Noah on OFFENSE with a legit 3pt shot as well)
Not sure how much Jeff Lauv will make in this market but we would have 3 days to match the offer once free Agency officially begins
Will Barton (was once considered a "scrub by some and at about a bit over 3m, he is a complete steal) and Jeff Lauv for a future 1st rounder, not sure if he should trade Kyle O Quin (very solid player and can improve his game much with Noah to help mentor him (his passing ability/DEF/versatile skill sets)
Boston - They have many draft picks/draft rights while limits on roster spots like Denver with many contract friendly talents
They have too many young PG's, Combo guards, SG's, SG's/PG's, and they just added more in this past draft, while they seem content with an ALL STAR with Isiah Thomas and his super friendly contract
Sun's - 1st off they have a relationship with Jeff Hornaceck and the players on the roster (in a sense he is also a scout on who may fit on the roster)
Archie Goodwin, Brandon Knight/Bledsoe, PJ Tucker (at about 5m and is a versatile defender at about 5m expiring), bird rights on Jon Leur, team rights at vet min/not fully guaranteed John Jenkins, G/F TJ Warren *a player that Briggs loved in the past, comparing him to a Shawn Marion upside with a better handle/guard skills, Ronnie Price as a UFA for a backup PG to 3rd string
Twolves -
Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica (who we "allegedly" had interest in last year)
Gorgui Dieng (likely will get a lot of money next year as well but they probably will keep him and see what happens next summer, though I do not think Shabazz is part of their future who is also a RFA with Dieng and were both traded on draft day together for Trey Burke *Utah trading 2 picks and is now also on the market)
Shabazz - RFA next summer, in today's market he likely will GET A LOT OF MONEY that Twolves are unlikely to want to spend on him with both Wiggons and Lavine being RFA's 1 year after him
I think last year was a season to get back in shape when he suffered his injury
However, before his injury he showed many games his versatility/improvements and the work he put in, he could play probably PG/SG/SF (though not sure if he can do so again)
He simply lost his role with Towns/Lavine/Wiggons being the future of the franchise and a healthy Rubio, limiting his touches/role
Utah -
They have too many PG/SG's, Combo guards etc
Though the only one I have interest in is Shelvin Mack, while they traded for George Hill
Also with Dante Exum returning from injury as well
George Hill
Shelvin Mack *2.5m*
Dante Exum
Raul Neto
Trey Burke *his potential was a ceiling of Darren Collison/poor mans CP3 drafted #10 overall that didn't live up to expectations, would only offer a 2nd rounder at most probably would prefer a UFA instead, with guys still available, including Oversea's talents, Undrafted FA's,
Some players include
Sessions - just under rated his entire career
Tony Douglas - would certainly welcome him back, his confidence in his 3pt shot is back
Norrise Cole - DEF tough little guy that is a solid role player
Shane Larkin - new system and lightning quick
RFA's Seth Curry/Troy Daniels BOTH SHOOTERS, Tyler Johnson crafty lefty with good size
Randy Foye - shooter but not su
Greviez Vasquez - basically an younger/injured Calderon that was once a triple double machine with a young Anthony Davis
Brian Roberts - bigger PG
Jarrett Jack - was once able to play PG, SG, SF, not sure what the room exemption or vet min only could net us or if we get the MLE to use (by trading for just say Will Barton and Jeff Lauv's(RFA, which would put us over the cap and allow us to spend the FULL MLE)
PJ Hairson which Phil Jackson allegedly was hoping to draft in the CleAnthony Early draft
Spur's
They may look to move some money to get some FA's, probably only have interest in Bobdan Marjanivc RFA's *who I listed as a European STEAL at Center last summer*, Patty Mills, Simmons, and SLOW MOE
Likely will try to move Parker or/and Boris Diaw as well, not sure about Danny Green with a reasonable contract now as he struggled for the entire regular season with a change in philosophy with their OFFENSIVE schemes
Totally forgot about Justin Hamilton but he is a pretty good risk/reward at a 2year deal at 3m per year in todays market
I also like Thomas Robinson while some like the potential in Anthony Bennet
both are completely different players and did not live up to their early draft picks while I think Robinson has shown that he can be
