No idea why we never look to stack the squad with better, well-known upside talent. Seems like every year, the roster's filled with stiffs, no-names, retreads and cannon fodder. WHY????? Getting ready to start watching a recording of the game now. In the other thread, someone said we were playing without a PG on the floor. WTF---WHY??? Cat Barber, Gary Payton II and Yogo Ferrell all went undrafted. How in the name of God, with our lack of depth at PG behind Rose (a big risk to sit out a lot of games himself this year), did we not bring in 1 of these guys for closer evaluation on our SL team??? Can't tell me Phil called and these guys turned us down. That's a load of bunk and a terrible excuse... Come on, none of these UDFA PGs are turning Phil Jackson down if he came calling with the wide open opportunities we have here. Think about it. Anthony Barber's agent is telling his client to pass up Phil Jackson & the Knicks right now?? Come on--he'd be fired...PJ never called any of these guys or never called in time. That's what I believe happened. Can't understand -- not sure about GP2, but I know we worked out Barber & Ferrell. Even if they had a poor workout for us---with our lack of depth, you don't bother looking at their whole body of work in college and make the determination to bring them to Orlando for a closer look???
