I think there are a lot of players who likely will not be part of their team's rotation because of the draft / likely FA pursuits or likely make too much for the role they will play on the team. They could be available on the cheap or maybe for nothing in a straight absorb scenario.

Some lower tier candidates I'd call about:

Tony Snell
Jodie Meeks
Alex Len
PJ Tucker
James Young
Bodgan Bogdanovic
Reggie Bullock
Michael Carter Williams
Tyler Ennis
Jeremy Evans
Will Barton
KJ McDaniels
Sam Decker
Montrezl Harrel
CJ Wilcox
Jordan Adams
Tyus Jones
Alonzo Gee
James Ennis
Anthony Morrow
Archie Goodwin
Ben McClemore
Jonathan Simmons
Trey Burke
Shelvin Mack

We have a lot of roster spot to fill. Most of these guys are on their rookie deals or if they're a vet, it's because they're more of a specialist. We also keep the flexibility of our 70 mil in cap space in 2017 by letting them walk if they don't pan out.

Those who I would target as well as well as Jonathan Simmions from the Spurs. I would love to see if we can get any of them.

who could we trade for any of those guys?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
