It seems Crawford wanted 6 years/55mil. The final deal which Chi agreed to was 7 years/55mil. Isiah says he showed Crawford 6/55 mil in a specific deal early in trade negotiations to illustrate how high his salary could reach, but never said that was going to be the deal offered. It has stalled the trade but it hasnr killed the trade.

Also, just to CLARIFY, this is not from the Chicago Tribune, it is on realgm.com. There is NOTHING on Chicago Tribune about Crawford stopping the trade. We were talking about reliable sources and realgm ain't one of them.

Someone please close this idiotic thread...

actually realgm is not bogus, they have a lot of reliable posters there who are true fans, season ticket holders, who some have taken the time out to call the teams offices to find out as much info as possible...

I understand crawford if he wants to stop the trade.

Think about it, how can a man have a decent life with ONLY 55 millions dollars over 7 years.

Whatever the way you look at it, it's just no possible.

Heck, the kid should get his act together and sign the sheet, otherwise he'll stay in chicago counting his teeth and toes on chicago's bench.

Yeah, the kid shouldn't have the right to try to negotiate the best deal for himself. It's not like any other player would ever try to do that
