I watched him play a couple of games for Westchester before his injury and I came away really impressed. He was, in fact, dominating the league prior to his injury. Had he not gotten injured, I'm sure he would have gotten a call-up by the Knicks (or another team) at some point and made the roster.
From what I saw, he has really improved on his mid-range game, can finish in traffic and can also shoot it from deep. He does have the complete offensive game. Defensively, he is athletic and can play multiple positions. It all comes down to how healthy his achilles is right now. If he is back to where he was prior to injury, he could definitely make our team and even backup Melo at the 3, since they have similar games providing offense off the bench. |

If he is healthy he would be a good fit. I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Thanasis quickness in open court was more intriguing than this guy honestly.
How is his defense? The Future is Bright!

I'm hoping Thanasis isn't forgotten. Did he really sign in Europe?

I love Dajuan Summers game... he had a great pro body. Confidence is his issue. He's got to seize the moment and just play.

It really seems like he figured it out last year in the D league and put it all together. He is an NBA caliber talent. If healthy, he can be a one year deal on the cheap that can make the rotation and really have an impact. |

I think DaJuan is poised to dominate this SL, he's in a good position to make the team. Baltimore dude too I'm sure Melo's a fan.
I'm open to Baker as well, maybe even Plumlee as a third big. |

I would invite PJ Hairston to summer league and take a look at him. He has talent but is hasn't been that great in the league shooting wise. He's been a decent defender, just hasn't shot it well since entering the league. There was rumors Phil liked him in the draft a couple years ago. It's a low risk high reward as a cheap buy low option if he pans out.
Can you imagine finding cheap bench options like PJ and DaJaun on cheap contracts |
