I think it could easily be....

KP
Melo
Noah
Rose
Bazemore

I think that would satisfy everyone here

I would take it.

We need a 3&D guy next to Rose...and if Rose is out a realible 15 pt scorer

I think that's pretty realistic and possible.

My only issue with Bazemore is that I'm not convinced he's a pure 2. He started at the 3 in Atlanta last year. But he's a good defender and a solid knockdown 3pt shooter.

How is this realistic???????? If Noah is getting offers from other better teams potentially as high as 30 mm per ??? I can't figure wtf the Knicks want to do anyway. It might be in there best interests that if they cannot get K D to offer mostly 1 year contracts. That way if it fails it's incredibly easier to start over

That has already been debunked.

Not that it should have had to have been debunked.

We don't know if it's been debunked - but we have a pretty good indication he wants to come here or will at least strongly consider it.

In this environment no one other than the top guys KD & Lebron are 1+1 deals....guys want security only KD & Lebron and maybe Curry could take a one year deal get hurt and still sign a contract and get paid

If Noah gets 30m per, he should take it. Doesn't mean we should be just as crazy. I'd rather sit out a year than be this ridiculous. I am open to Noah on a reasonable deal. But I'm looking to fill a max slot first.

I'm a fan of the 7 or 8 man rotations that can give a completely different look. So, I don't need to go 12 deep with our dollars. I can assume that capholds and room exception will allow us to bring Willy H, L. Galloway, and D. Williams back after signing one max free agent.

I expect them to bring Wroten back on thr Vets min unless there is a rule against that due to the waiver. His waiver at this time is clearly to save cap space to maintain capholds while chasing a max free agent. Or he is not healthy. A $1mm, there is not much other reason for the waiver.

Rose (21.8mm)/ Holiday 1m
/Gallo (2.5m qo)/Wroten (Vet Min)
Melo (24.8)/ DWill (cap hold 5mm) / Thomas $2mm cap hold.
KPor (4.8m)/
KOQ $4m/Herny (room exception? or rookie min?)/Plumlee 500k

On a $94mm salary cap, this leaves about $27mm to spend. You can sign 1 free agent up to the 30% threshold.

Looking at KOQs stats, and overlooking his stupid mistakes, he is a possible replacement at Center, assuming that the Knicks will Absolutely want to use KP6 there for significant minutes regardless of whether he starts there.

This makes the SG spot the big money spend. i dont see Durant claiming to be a SG. Youd have to pitch the Megadeath type lineup with Melo playing the role of DrayGreen. With the Oladipo trade, I think the Thunder and KD remain married.

So, that leaves guys like Batum, Beal, Bazemore and Crabbe for that spot. But don't overlook Horny's willingness to put more than 1 pg on the court.

If the fix is in, I could see Wade slotting in there on a slight discount while he waits for Paul and James to stop by next year.

If i get Noah at 10mm and any of the above SGs at 17mm, i call it a done deal and lock it up.

Rose
Crabbe
Melo
KP6
Noah

You know I gonna spin wit it

Bazemore is going to get paid this summer and I'd rather not spend a ton on a role player. I don't think bazemore is much of an upgrade over lance Thomas.

This is one of the reasons I think signing D. Howard makes sense. If we can get him at a discount you know what he brings to the table.

With so many of the free agents who will be demanding big paychecks there's a question of return on investment. I think that's why Phil is signing so many inexpensive players whose game resembles a free agent who he knows he can't afford.

If we are going to sign anyone with a long term deal then we need to shoot for the stars. If we miss out then I would look at one yr stop gaps to preserve the cap space for 2017.

But that would be my deadline for waiting on other superstars.
