Ognjen Kuzmic--I didn't know he was available. Id go this way but it will cost part(or probably all) of the 2.8mm exception(maybe 2 years 4.5-5.6mm). He is huge 7-1 245 and only 25. Here is a snippet for the D league championship game --he has a lot of skills for the triangle. Hes an RFA so wed have to pay up a tad but at 2.25-2.5 I think its good money spent.

Cool, i'm looking forward to watching him in our summer league. Like i said about if we do end up trading Rolo we could bring in a guy like this to play some center with KP, Willy and KOQ who all can play PF as well. I really love what Rolo did for us last year and don't want him traded but there are options that we could bring in if we traded Rolo for a much needed guard.

I think Kuzmic would be a great addition, but not at the expense of Rolo. Rolo has an established rep in the NBA, and amongst his peers, and most importantly has proven he can succeed playing in NYC. I'll take that everyday over potential. Aside from that I hope Kuzmic gets a good look, and can stick with the Knicks at the right price.

We can't trade Rolo unless we are trading Melo too.... that means a full rebuild involving players 25 and younger. That's not what we are doing.

We do need a back up player to fill in for Rolo. This kid in any argument is worth a shot.... but let's not forget the homey Jordan Bachynski

I don't think any Knicks fan wants to see Rolo get traded but if he can bring us a much more needed player at the guard position and we can fill the center spot with KP, Willy, This Kuzmic guy and even bring in another true center since both KP and Willy can play PF then it might be a good idea to trade Rolo. I wouldn't mind bringing C.Aldrich back. He was pretty damn good for us when he got minutes and he was really good for the Clippers when D.Jordan was hurt and Cole was starting.

Bachynski definitely deserves a long look in the summer and at camp. I think he is on a roster for an nba team next year either with the Knicks or someone else. Kuzmic is a guy the Warriors wanted to keep and he was spoken about highly by Kerr.

Knicks clearly saw something they liked about Kuzmic's game when they worked him out, and you have to imagine that he would get looks from other teams, but decided to play with the Knicks in SL. I understand that a player can sign with any team during or after the SL seasons, but my theory is that it is significant that he chose to play with us.

One article mentioned that GS tendered him an offer but he did not take it immediately and GS eventually rescinded their offer.

We are putting out teams in both SL venues...would this mean that he would play with us in Vegas and Orlando?

Seraphin, despite his inconsistency as a player, seems to like here-is an interest in Kuzmic possibly sign that we are not going to resign him.

O'Quinn, a major disappointment, becomes a liability with his contract, and if I recall correctly, he also may be facing some legal issues(have not heard any follow up stories on this).

I saw his face in one of the Photos but I don't think it means much. I think JH wants more flexible bigs. He's somewhat flexible but a kid like Kuzmic is a far better passer which may be more important for JH.

Geez...must have forgotten that when it was announces.

If they are only in one league, I would prefer Vegas- when I watch the Orlando games it looks like you are watching a HS game with the views its cameras give you.


Maybe KOQ drops 20 pounds during the off season...and if he comes into camp in shape I'll feel a lot better about him.

I'm still hoping Hernangomez is on the team and jumps over him on the depth chart

Yup...

I suppose that if he's working out and staying in shape, it helps him whether or not he is playing for the Knicks.

Like KOQ, he needs to shed some pounds. Have to say that he flashed some legitimate talent at times, but his inconsistency was very frustrating.

Seems to be a good teammate from what I have read and seen on the bench, and you always want guys who seem to like the other players on the team.


Have to give Anthony some credit for seemingly starting this kind of trend on the Knicks, and KP is following in his footsteps, since he probably invited guys to come to Latvia. I don't recall reading about this kind of thing in the past, but I could be wrong.


Still want to see KP working out with one or more HOF type bigs to add some unstoppable interior moves to his repertoire.
