or other titles read:
"Five things Jackson must answer....."

The media is asking (I suppose by proxy for fans) for phil to answer why he hired JH, why if he has deviated from the pure 100% triangle (did he ever intend to run it 100% always?) and explain his search.

I for one live in a results oriented world. Im paid for results, not the time I do it. I have an amazing view out my back yard and have an elevated screened in room which I like to work out of in the warmer months. I roll into the office at 9am. But I start early or work late. My work is not transparent, and neither is Phil's. No, nalod is not comparing himself to Phil, but my point is I have to answer for my results.

Media takes it Phil was not working when he travels. In a connected world, thats a silly assumption. he can get any tape of the game downloaded and receive calls anytime. He was lambasted for not being in NY while other clubs were doing a very public search for a coach. IN the end he hired a new coach and largely did his search not under the microscope of the media attention. Some clubs like to do so, not phil.

Phil, or the process even if it includes some input from Dolan, has answered for last season with a new coach and its not Rambis. While Rambis was not the immediate cure, I would have been ok with him as in my mind, he took over a team that had just gone 1-10 and had its coach fired. Since I don't have all the answers as to why Fish was dismissed, its tough to say. We can only guess. My guess is Phil was on the fence about Rambis and if his Owner and others saw him as not the answer, then why not go that way if undecided. My feeling is if Phil was very confident in Rambis, he would have the gig.

Media has been kept in the dark about a lot of things and this fuels the notion that phil should be more transparent. We all knew phil was not going to be that guy and we all know he don't care about media. They have retaliated to some degree, even if not deliberate to bleed that frustration into their writing. After all, aren't we all entitled to have answers?

Rambis did not turn the club around as he said he would but then I have learned long ago to not take verbatim when employees of the NBA speak. Ewing made his guarantee and was left hung to dry for not fulfilling it. Media set that precedence. Ewing said what we all wanted him to say and show he was confident. Namath he was not. I never held it against Patrick.

Its not what they say that counts, its what they do.........
Today we have a new coach and its someone outside the Tree. It would be nice to have answers but I doubt even they have it all figured out. Even if they do have answers, they will likely adapt and change. IN a few weeks the knicks will try to get a pick and some roster changes are to be expected. They don't have the answers because they don't have all the facts. They will say we'll make the playoffs, be entertained, blah blah blah.........Then show a picture of Jeffs daughter Abby and all will be ok for now.

Phil is still here, another new coach. This one seems to have good work ethics, solid family and respect. Jeff seems like what Phil wanted in Fisher.

Enjoy the day fellas.
