ouch, how could you have a worse schedule to open up? brutal it's almost a given we start the season just as bad as the last few. the exact opposite schedule that i wanted us to start with. everything is bizarro with the Knicks

i bet we open 2-6

Of the thirteen games in November, only five are against teams that were at or bove .500 last season. That's brutal???? It's one thing to be negative, but I thought you were actually a knowledgeable fan.

Yeah that is a rough start. Look at it this way, we'll have a nice easy finish just like last year. On the other hand, 2-6 is a bit pesimistic. I say we go 3-3.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

How can anyone dare to think that you are negative?!?!

Even if the start of the season is a tough one, if my Knicks are healthy I expect them to escape from that start at .500 or above. It will be tough, but don't underestimate us so much! Be positive! Have faith!

I see us going 4-4, or 5-3 with some luck.
It's early in the season and home court doesn't mean as much.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i dont take a positive or negative view point, i try to view things reasonably. i hope we get jamal crawford for what amounts to dung--- i hope mike sweetney is the starting PF and brings his sl game. i hope ariza makes a nice impression and is able to play as well. the other guys are vets i pretty much know what to expect. we will be a bit small again-- we have little chance matching up with big big teams but we should be able to improve 5 games or so while getting younger+ more athletic which is my main concern

do i think we are winning 50+ games and going to the eastern finals ?NFW do i think we can win 43 games and give a a much better showing in the playoffs? thats my hope

Briggs IS a knowledgable fan, and talent and business wise, he probably knows more than most of us. And in this case, I agree with him. We have a very tough schedule. We never were a good road team to begin with, so we have to play above our heads to get off to a good start.

5 of the first 13 teams being above .500 is too tough; you're right. Why couldn't they have made it 4 or 3 of the first 13? Almost 40% of our November games are against .500 teams. I guess that's way too many

I actually really like the tough schedule to open up. We should be healthy, Marbury will be in mid-season form after the olympics and everybody is excited for the season to start. I think we will start off very well due to those reasons. The beginning of the season is most important -- its tough to bounce back after a rough start and if we win against good teams our confidence level will be through the roof and we'll start playing like one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the East.

I agree; if we lose every game to the .500 teams, but beat the bad teams, we have an 8-5 November. That's not bad.

I just want us to start off strong at home. Make the Garden feared once again. We couldn't have asked for a set of home games to start off with : Boston, Philly, LAC, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Toronto.

Also just noticed our last 6 games: Toronto, Cleveland, Charolette, Atlanta, Chicago, and Washington. That should be very helpful in building some momentum as we reach the post season.

God, I'm getting so excited thinking about next season, how am I going to be able to survive these next 3 months?

I've even seen him walk on the water...

Come on guys, that's not so bad.

I'd honestly join kam on this,n except on Houston maybe, though they have glaring holes in their starting lineup. 50% is really doable without playing over our heads.
