Ha, look up Mirsad Turkan, Michael Wright, or the two guys they picked in the, what I am dubbing, the "John Wallace Catastrophe." I think his name was Dontae Jones and I'm not sure about the other.

There is nothing on Michael Wright. Maybe he has quit basketball?

Last I heard, Dontae' Jones (his apostrophe, not mine) was facing jail time on gun charges. It was he and Walter McCarty that were drafted with John Wallace (I think we had the 18th, 21st and 22nd picks that year). McCarty is buried on Boston's IR, and Wallace is doing his usual instant-offense/no-defense thing with Phoenix. Did we pass up anyone interesting that year for those three? I think it was 96, but I'm not sure. Knowing our draft record, I shudder to think...

Ow, this hurts. We passed over Zydrunas Ilgauskas, that's not bad though because he is more injury prone then Camby. Pick 18 was Jermaine O'Neal and if you are telling me that we couldn't have traded 2 picks to trade up and get him, your joking. We passed over Derek Fisher, who would be a good PG to have. Other good players picked in this draft:
Jeff McInnis, Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Abdur-Rahim, Marbury, Ray Allen, Lorezen Wright, Antoine Walker, Steve Nash, Kobe, and Predrag Stojakovic. Oh, and the Knicks who were picked in this draft that are on the team now: Shandon Anderson, Travis Knight, and Othella Harrington. Pretty good draft though, looking back on it. I got all that info @ nbadraft.net for those of u wondering

Yeah he played for Paris and it is interesting to note that former legend Michael Ray Richardson was still playing playing pro basketball last year in France!!!

Note that Turkcan, Chenowith and DeMarco actually have pretty impressive stats (although they play in minor leagues). But Freddy doesn't even log 25 minutes/game on an unknown Spanish team!
We suck.
