do we have to settle for mediocre shooting guards who cant shoot - like E. Turner? yes he wouldve been perfect for the triangle but in a 3pt style offense, his lack of shooting hurts

PGs like Rondo who laughed at the triangle now might want to play here? Jennings?

the backcourt obviously needs to be upgraded however now I feel like we have MORE options since were not married to this triangle offense

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Need a PG who can create for others, maybe Grant is that guy. Need a SG who can shoot lights out. We currently don't have that guy on the roster. Bazemore, Fournier, or Crabbe.

Number 1.....The triangle is designed to give mediocre players a bigger role. So it actually gives you more flexibility.

Number 2.....The needs hasn't changed. The same holes we had b4 are the same holes we have now. Unless Hornacek will be lacing them up, still need quality high IQ players. Regardless of the system.

The problem is not the triangle but the shift in talent. The league is moving from system players to iso ball dominant players.....And my guess is iso/ black hole type players are not welcome here. Which is why zach, j.crawford, Jr smith and others are not here. But what Phil might have underestimated was the selection of system players are low. So you have to pick some iso players and convert them to system players.

I think having Hornacek here and with him being able to run his offense is gonna definitely be more attractive to most free agents because most of these guys wanna be able to open up and run and shoot so i think having Hornacek will help for sure.

The perception alone that Jeff might bring a more modern style will attract more free agents vs Rambis who's a poor man Phil Jackson is perceived to be stuck on triangle only systems.

The key to Triangle players to me is players that have shown they can move the ball almost like a PG. No matter what position you're talking about you hope to add as many ball movers as you can. This and being able to shoot and create at some level. The thing is this is a good talent no matter what system you run.

Less Triangle would mean we don't have to worry as much about Post up ability. It seems now more speed, athletic ability and shooting from 3pt range will become much more important. Those 3nD players are gonna be in the Crosshairs I would guess. I think the best way to approach this is to just continue to look for well rounded players. Guards and Wings will still be the prime target. But my guess is that Speed will be more important now.

Jennings? No way man. If Phil sign him I will be hugely disappointed.
