I just read this in one of the posts:

A few weeks after he was hired, Jackson sought to revamp the Knicks
medical staff but Dolan vetoed the move . . .
Wow, I never heard about this.

How did that all go down (?)

I was vaguely thinking a few weeks ago about how the Phoenix medical staff
has the kind of reputation that Jackson would want to have in NYC . . .

I don't remember all of the details. The biggest sign of Jackson's autonomy if I remember correctly was his getting rid of Herb. He also changed up the scouting department. I was a lot more concerned about Mills being kept on at the time but it was reported that he wasn't allowed to change the medical department and that he wanted to.

If I remember correctly the reason why they weren't removed is that same staff also handles the Rangers and the Liberty players. The logistics of doing that and basically Phil imposing his demands on those other teams was too much for Dolan. So Dolan said "no". It might be the only official "no" Dolan has told Phil since he has been here.

If that were the case, seems pretty reasonable
