Thought I heard the commentators say Kay Felder outplayed Cat Barber in the scrimmage on day 1 of the Combine but it looks like they played to a draw pretty much--both appeared to have played well. Felder had 11 points; Barber finished with 13 pts on 5-10 from the floor along with 6 assists:

What's everyone's feelings on this kid Barber? I'm high on him for us as a 2nd round target the more I think about him. 6'3" scoring machine may not be looked at as a 'triangle guard' I'm sure but I think he can function well in the triangle system. He's obviously a score first guard but also an exceptional ball-handler and quite a good passer showing good court vision and awareness. Reminds me of several different players: Monta Ellis (I think Cat might have better PG skills), some Jamal Crawford, Jerryd Bayless (similar size along with the real potent mid-range game), I even see some Latrell Sprewell believe it or not with the way he's able to jab-step and free himself for mid-range shots. Flawless shooting mechanics from what I can see.. Was probably asked to take too many shots this year which may have brought down his overall FG% a little but I think his team wanted/needed him to play like that. 23.5 ppg, 43.4% FG, 36.1% from 3, 86.5 FTs, 4.6 rebs, 4.5 assists -- those are real solid numbers. Got to the line 274 times this season--that's an unbelievable number. Anything over 200 really stands out.. I think he can not only make it in the NBA but actually excel. This guy could be a big-time threat off someone's bench coming in and feasting on other teams' 2nd units. I mean the Garden would fall in love with this kid instantly. Said he declared for the draft and chose to stay in because he wanted to provide a better life for his young daughter--talked about that being his chief concern now. That shows great ownership, maturity and responsibility. He's impressive. Awful lot to like about this dude.
