Definitely not; Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles were two big parts of their team. Kenyon Martin is self-explanatory, but I think many people forget that Kerry Kittles is a very big reason why the Nets have achieved all this success. As he reaches 30, he is now a role player, who on the Nets had quietly accepted his role as a 12-14 ppg SG who the team looked to to provide 3 point shooting and great defense on other 1 and 2 guards. Kerry was also yet another Net that could finish very well on the fast break. Just think about this lineup - > Jason Collins (5 ppg 5 rpg man) Aaron Williams/Nenad Krstic (wow) Richard Jefferson Lucious Harris (better off the bench) Jason Kidd
Unmotivated, and with Scalabrine and Armstrong as their key subs off the bench (no Rogers), I don't konw how good they would do depending night in and night out on RJ and JKidd. I'm glad the Nets have taken a turn for the worse and hopefully all those NJ Nets bandwagon fans will stop rooting for the Nets now. Damn, imagine how empty their arena will be soon!
