Miami was 57% from the field in each game, and shot well over 50% from the 3.

I didn't watch either game, but this kind of shooting indicates that the Hornets haven't played much D so far in the series.

Will be interesting to see how they do in the friendly confines of Charlotte.

Strangely enough, Charlotte had 70 free throws, to only 43 for Miami, not what you would expect in playoff games in Miami.

I wish they'd never lengthened the first round - it's a chore to get through. When it was just best of 5 there was a higher chance of an upset, making it more exciting, and when there was a big mismatch the series were over swiftly.

agreed

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

+1

I think they should maybe do a sudden death one game round robin play-in between the 7/8/9/10 seeds - less tanking. Then do best of five in the first round.

First round used to be fun, now it's just a slog.

Yup...you're right. None of those guys had anything to do with playing the kind of D you need to play in order to beat GS...the kind of D that some on the Rockets seem indifferent to playing on a consistent basis.

...Yup

Rockets seemed to do all they could to lose the game on their terrible inbound execution.

I was only able to watch the first half because of the time the game was on. Hopefully Sunday's game is earlier. I thought Howard had a very good first half. This surprised me this morning.

Celtics/ Hawks is intense. Schroeder ad Thomas have been amazing.

Strange reaction, although there was time on the clock...and this is GS.

Also seem to recall that one of Harden's teammates- think it was Valanciunas Motiejunas, came over to congratulate him, and he pushed him away with two hands- that was something I wondered about when seeing it, although, once again, Harden might have also been thinking that the game was not yet over, and it wasn't time to get too happy.

in the celtics victory i noticed one salient stat from the box score: evan turner dished out 7 assists from the shooting guard position and had a usage to assist ratio of .82:1 which is an elite stat for a shooting guard as a facilitator. looking at the play by play, he had a nice mix of passing in traffic to big men cutting, as well as hitting perimeter players, assumedly on drives of his own where he found an open teammate on the perimeter.

he'd fit right into the triangle offense with his passing skills.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

It was an awesome game. The one play that stands out to me regarding Turner was when he hoisted up a three that missed very early in the shot clock when there was under 2 minutes left and the Celtics needed to kill clock. But I was going back and forth between games and the Celtics ball movement was very good.

i wonder how many assists he had to IT4 who was one of only 10 celtics ever to score 40 pts in the playoffs. meaning I COULDVE racked up 7 assists if i was playing next to IT4 last night. with that said, he has a nice skills set. jack of all trade, master of none type of player. the classic swiss army knife. this is the type of mediocre player i hope the knicks can sign but not overpay for

Haven't had time to watch games, can someone give me a clue as to how DeRozen is playing? Every time I check the boxscore he is 2-8FG

i counted two to thomas. that still leaves a whopping 5 assists for the others which is not nothing. maybe the game plan was for evans to be the facilitator because they needed thomas's scoring above everything else, but this is why i am high on him for the knicks in the triangle-- that and he is a good defender, far better than afflalo.
