We have to wait until May 25th to see who stays in to really get a good grasp. There are some good young athletic guards who will need seasoning and there will be plenty of guys who fall right out of the draft who will still be getting 3 years contracts. I like Kay Felder as the best PG in rd 2 because hes a rd 1 talent but we arent going to draft a 5-9 player with Phil here.

My two favorites from the guard/wing slots are are actually teammates Derrick Jones and Patrick McCaw. If they stayed in school one more year theyd both be lottery picks. Both have great size Jones is the best athlete in the draft--their both disruptive defensively and both have big offensive upsides.
Its an opportunity to rebuild with high level athletes while still focusing on today.

Collinsworth is more of a prototypical triangle player but hes had serious knee issues and cant shoot from deep to well for an older player.

One thing I always try to do is compare what Ive seen before in college to what I see now. Patric McCaw looks an awful lot like Paul George at Fresno State and Derrick Jones reminds me a lot of Demar Deozan at USC. The last SG I like is Malik Beasley but he seems to keep rising so we have no chance at him. I like Denzell Valentine as a PG in rd 1(mid range 16-22) but Im not overly thrilled with this years rd 1 draft past 10. There is going to be a bunch of players undrfated the Knicks can look at if they want to--need to wait for May 25th to see who stays in. There are some good seniors this year too.

is BRIGGS the draft guru expert here?

i think of all the names listed here..."dacash" YOU mentioned the best NBA prospect - VJ Beachem

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

lol. no offense taken my dude. BRIGGS watches alot of college bball and knows his stuff. however so do i and others here on the board. BRIGGS is definitely someone i look fwd to when he posts even though we dont always agree

in terms of the knicks, theyre best bet is to buy or use 2nd rd draft picks. in general, 2nd rounders are hit or miss so you never really know.

VJ Beachem seems like a nice 3&D wing but maybe he's not. BRIGGS mentioned Derrick jones. Im not as high on him as he is because even though he's an athletic freak of nature, i dont think he understands HOW to play basketball. BRIGGS also mentioned Kay felder who is 3 inches tall (therefore phil wont like him) and He has this love affair with Valentine (get it? - pun intended). I disagree with all of these choices but that doesnt mean im right or wrong (or that BRIGGS is right or wrong). no one knows the future. Instead I think we need PG help - I think a guy like demetrius jackson might fall into the 2nd rd.

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
