As for Kidd, ever since his arrival in Milwaukee two summers ago, there have been whispers his coaching tenure wouldn’t be long and that it would only be a matter of time before he moved into the front office. I’ve also been told by people close to the Bucks’ situation that Kidd, once the golden boy of the organization, is now on shaky ground. His future with the franchise is clearly cloudy, especially from a coaching standpoint when some highly-regarded and vastly more experienced coaches than Kidd are available. Can you say Tom Thibodeau? I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

His rep about his arrogance has followed him around post playing career. It wasn't really a concern as a player and locker room presence, but seems to not work for him as a coach. I also think because he was handed the coaching job following his last season in new york, he feels like he is owed certain things, and doesn't have to earn them or work his way up. Same with Fisher, when many questioned his work ethic and time he put into his craft. All of the guys that come up through the video room/assistant coaching ranks put in crazy hours and have an unmatched work ethic. Not sure if Kidd can naturally have that as a coach when the job was handed to him without any experience, then another job was handed to him without any real success in BK, given the roster he had. |
