Very impressed with him last night--hes really come a long way and hes ready to breakout. He looks like he can play SG--he can handle really well hes got great form on his shot--hes active aggressive. And by the way most people dont know hes 6-9.. I just checked hes a RFA--and I think we should look into that. Really really good looking player.

You need to remember he was playing against a near Dleague backcourt rostered by the Knicks. He looks awful against most teams, because he isn't really an NBA-caliber player. Not even worth a look if we want to consider ourselves a real franchise going-forward.

Thats wrong. He was playing mostly against Melo last night. It doesnt take a brain scientist to see the way he moves the way he handles and the way he shoots it at his size.

No it's not! The list of players you like is outrageously long and some have merit but this Luke Babbit thing is complete nonsense. His production (lack of) and genuine lack of ability in 6 years in the league prove that I am right. I am all for thinking outside the box and suggesting players but this doesn't really help our roster or move us in a positive direct. I'm sorry man, but it's an undeniable fact even though you like what you saw last night.

Babbit has had a number of years to prove himself. He has never averaged more than 17MPG, and his career PPG is under 5 pts.

You can never go by one game when evaluating a player, and Babbit is now in his 6th year in the NBA.

In an era where the 3pt shot is prominent, he has yet to given a significant role on a team.

Would I give him the type of money we give Amundson and put him on the end of the bench...perhaps, but I don't see him as a player worthy of significant money.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Two things--he came out of college way to early and you know--in the NBA its all about the minutes. If you get a chance and are given the minutes--how can you produce?

Im not saying this guys the next star--Im saying hes a BETTER prospect than guys like Galloway and Sasha--I think hes WAY better. Hes a HIGH quality guy --I think its easy to see where he can be VERY solid off of someone bench with 20 minutes a night. Whats not to like? He certainly can halde the rock well at 6-9 hes got great form--he plays with energy hes smart--hes a player.

I dont know if you can remember--but we got John Starks out of the trash bin at 25 years old. He went on to play well Id say.

Luke Babbitt is one of the worst players - on one of the worst teams in the league. He should NOT even be in the NBA
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Luke Babbitt could be our new Lance Thomas. I can dig that. We're going to need to keep these floating free agents in mind when we run out of money.

I gotta say though. You guys cry about not playing Grant yet don't give a damn about Cleananthony. A guy like Luke Babbitt finally gets a shot to play big minutes and you guys are like **** this guy he's been a bum for 6 years. All it takes is an opportunity.

babbitt was a starter the last two seasons but kept losing his job to the legendary dante cunningham. they kept trying to play him because hes an amazing shooter. the problem is he cant do anything else well

in terms of suggestions: i d rather resign lance (we have his bird rights) and we KNOW he can be an adequate 3&D man. use the money we have to focus on that awful backcourt

man, I've always wondered about LT's defense. I've thought that he is a good help defender, knows positioning but I just don't see him as more than an above average man on man defender. He can certainly move his feet and has the ability to keep up with the smaller players, I've just never been wow'ed

Anyone with two eyes who watched the game saw his skills. For the right price--hes a quality CHEAP player who should continue to improve. Hes a pretty impressive ballhandler for 6-9 and he also guarded Melo pretty well. Melo went 9-23 and some of the shots he hit were tough low %

Yeah but he's a good piece to have on the bench cause he can come in and guard the best player on the other team and he can guard multiple positions, he's all energy all the time and his outside shot has gotten much better so i hope we bring him back.

this is from the New Orleans Pelicans news website (bourbonshots.com) where they review each player:

"Babbitt is nothing more than an end of the bench guy. He is buried behind guys like Pondexter and Cunningham, not to mention any possible new additions."
