Boy you can see his handy work on both Rose and Butler--they look like old men already--he plays guys into the ground.

Thibs is probably having the last laugh- he got the blame for all the injuries, but this season they've had just as many and are a lot worse. I did wonder if he rode players into the ground, but maybe they were just injury prone or due to decline quickly (see Affalo)

Thibs is also the doctor, head trainer, and strength and conditioning coach now?

You guys are grasping at straws now.

Playing both ends over 82 games is a grind. Yes demanding but they were a contender until GSW took off

Rose had an extremely aggressive playing style predicated on his athleticism and ability to contort his body, he carried the Bulls in 2011 it took it's toll...

Butler's player development is extraordinary, he's at his best and an All-Star now what are you saying he's just hit a rough stretch of the season. Guys should be able to average 35-40 minutes a game over an 82 game schedule.

Thibs gets a bad rep, he's the greatest defensive mind the league has seen proven track record and gets the most out of his guys. Look at how much the Bulls overachieved in his tenure. C'mon...

Thibs is old school in that those coaches tended to ride their best players. It's not something that can't be addressed by Phil and the Medical staff. There's a way to monitor minutes and give rest during the long season. I just think it's something that can be dealt with if they feel it's a concern. One way to fix it is to have enough quality depth that your coach will feel confident using his other players more. For me this is not a reason to avoid bringing in Thibs to coach the team.

Noah's career avg is 30 minutes a game. The highest he ever avg is 37 minutes, the next closest is 35 minutes followed by 33 minutes(32.8).

Deng is shooting the ball better in Miami and is having similar impact as he was in Chicago. So he is not exactly run down.

Butler was off to a great start but had an injury and is trying to play through it. That's not on Thibs.

This is another false narrative that fans like to use. I even used it so I'm guilty too but it's really baseless.

Thought of Thibs running coaching team is 100 times better than any Phil Jackson gains or progress this past 2 years

Check out the Lowe Post with Thibs. Awesome interview and he talks an awful lot about the Celtic championship teams.

Good thoughts of good change does not always equate.
I thought Larry Brown was a great idea. MDA was a great idea. Fish. Lenny. Don Nelson.
Its not always the coach, its the players. Can it work? Has Thibs been going to therapy and Zen training? Might be.

I agree with this thread.

I saw the same thing with the way MDA killed Amare with all the extra defensive drills.

so here is what phil is thinking ....
