Chris Anderson is what he is, and he is exciting and colorful, and would have added some energy that the Garden really needs. He has very little offensive game, but per 48 he is probably the best shot blocker in the league, and jumps through the roof. I would have liked seeing him in a Knicks uniform, energy is something you can't take for granted especially when it rubs off

i think i'd rather had keon than mutumbo. hes can at least be a shotblocker, which we desparately need. its not like we need more scorers. if we trade mutumbo or nazr, ya gotta believe isiah will consider him.
As long as Clark is healthy, I'd easily take him over Mutombo at this point in Mutombo's career.

Does anyone have any updates on Keon's health?

And we could've had him for so cheap, just look at the deal he got from the Hornets. But he is in N.O. so lets move on. There are still some players out there that can definitely help us.

My point was that I liked Keon better than Andersen, at least in terms of all around game. Keon does seem to hit the chronic as often as he hits the boards though.

CA, Keon, Gadzuric...i don't care...get me SOMEBODY who can block some shots, run the floor, & finish on the fastbreak! i'm sick & tired of watching Kurt freakin' Thomas get every 1 of his lame layups blocked all the time & watching Stephon Marbury roll his eyes everytime 1 of his cross court passes on the fastbreak results in no points because the guy who caught the pass doesn't know how to finish the play.

I'm suprised Keon isn't signed yet.....

I would expect the Nets to try to get him since they have only Scalabrine and Aaron Williams at the 4.

Sweetney and Keon in a 4 rotaion would be cool.....Keon was a good player in Toronto....he had gotten hurt in Utah....plus I think he had a drug charge on him as well.

If a team is gonna sign him it might as well be the Knicks.....

We don't know how bad his ankle is. They did surgery in Dec (I think) and said he'd be back in Feb; then they changed the date and said he'd be back in March; then it got pushed back to April. And finally, he never returned and missed the whole season. Some injuries just take a very long time to heal, but other injuries never heal adequately. We don't know which type Keon's is.

Keon is built a la camby, with a bad package of being both fragile and slow healer.

I don't know if he'd sign with us as he clearly said he didn't want to play in NewYork a few yrs ago.

I bet he'd rather smoke some weed under the sun in miami.

He always said he wanted to play under a warm climate.

He'll come to NY if we give him the best offer, which we should do if he is healthy.

As for him being fragile and a slow healer, that's actually 100% WRONG. Prior to this one injury, this is how many games he played in each previous season: 80, 81, 81, 81

Just to verify, how many minutes did he play in each of those years?

He played 22 mpg because his best role is to be a solid rebounder, defender, and shot blocker. It had nothing to do with injuries. Starting and playing 38 mpg just isn't the right role for him, even when he is healthy
