Exactly. Rambis is losing the way Phil wants him to. Fisher was winning in non-Triangular ways, so had to go. It's more important to preserve the legacy. Phil would rather lose with the Triangle than win without it.
Fisher lost 8 out of 9 when he got fired. The team was on a nose dive.
Melo missed 5 of those games - all losses. 2 of the other three losses Melo played in were against the Clippers and the Warriors.
It wasn't a nose dive, it was a tough stretch of injuries to Melo, Lance, Jose - 3 of their top 7 players.
Rambis is showing you what a nose dive looks like.
Fisher is by far the superior coach to Rambis.
They lost 9 out of his last 10 games as coach, of which Melo missed 3.
They lost badly at home to Clippers, Charlotte, Golden State and Boston with Melo in that 10 game stretch All MSG games.
There was a time this team was playing well. That ended long time ago. Towards the last 10 games of Fisher's tenure the team was on a downward spiral. Rambis has done little to change that. The team continues it's downward tailspin.
