Hahn had Spike on his radio show this afternoon, and when asked about Calderon, he said that opposing point guards' eyes light up before the game when they see Jose is going to be guarding them.
Hahn also once again opened the show criticizing Rambis when it came out that he was going with the same starting lineup again tonight. He said he knows many of the NBA coaches personally, and Vogel for example tonight, he knows that his gameplan is going to be to attack the Knicks' biggest weakness which is their point guard in Calderon. He said that all opposing coaches gameplan is the same against the Knicks: Continually run pick and roll on Calerdon and abuse the Knicks defense.
I'm done with Rambis. He is no better than Fisher, and he's supposed to be a veteran coach. There is no excusing continuing to have Jose starting. First of all, he does not give us a better chance to win--he lessens our chances, in fact--and, secondly; he's 35 years old and not part of our future with one year left on his pact. Jerian Grant should be given the job as an audition for next season, and there is no way he can be worse than Calderon, anyway. The gross mismanagement of this team continues.
