Last night he was pretty good in the minutes he got. Of course he comes in when we're already down by alot. He needs consistency. He's got to put together a nice run to finish off the year.

At this point, Calderón and Galloway are garbage. Neither should be running the point. They are both terrible.

I hate to flip flop on my opinion, but things change according to our situation. We are not making the playoffs. That ****ing sucks. So sending Grant to the d league makes zero sense right now. At this point the 23 year old 5 year college player needs to be crowned the starting point guard. Calderón and Galloway are both causing us the chance to make the playoffs. I'd rather the rookie be thrown to the fire now. Make Jimmer his primary back up and let the bodies hit the floor

They have really screwed up Grant this year. Im a big Grant fan and I expected them to let him play more and play through mistakes. Instead he has been in and out of the doghouse too many times. I don't have much confidence that they will just let the kid play at this point

Knicks continue in their dysfunctional ways. Coaches are scared, management is too hands on, ownership...let's not even talk about that one. It lurks unseen this season, but Dolan's necrotic touch is never far from destroying the organism.

Im a diehard knick fan BUT we have been the worst run organization for many years. I often think back to the 90's knicks and realize that I took them for granted. I was pissed that they never won the title BUT compared to the 2000 era knicks those teams were great. I mean we were in the playoffs every year, went to 2 finals, and often made good moves. Its tough being a knick fan these past 15 years...that's for sure

This one is on Fisher for sure. Dude not only phucked half the wives in the clubhouse, but face phucked Jerian's confidence to shyt. The dude was ballin' in the summer league and preseason up to a few games in the regular, then all the sudden ended out of the rotation for almost no reason. He didn't let Jerian play through his funks.

Rambis is a schmuck but hopefully he gives Grant the rest of the season to figure it out as a parting gift before he gets booted onto the street with Cleamons.

AGREED.

Grant should get most of the PG minutes, Gallow and Fredette backup with AA at SG.

Remove Calderon and Sasha, now!

Knicks are a part of a corporation.
The goals of the corporation are to produce profits and goals of the management are to get paid more in variety of ways.
This REAL goals can be aligned with side goal to have winning bbal team... or may be not aligned.
Last 15+ years this goals were clearly not aligned.
It was a hope that Phil can contribute to get winning more priority (some call this new culture).
I am doubtful that this can be done on bbal operations level. This can only be done on corporate MSG level and I cannot see any changes in this area so far.

I agree re Grant. However I think, consistent with Lowry's comment on Grant, that he needs to find his niche, and right now that's defense. Staying in front of his man will be an enormous benefit to this club right now because so many of our defensive woes, including breakdown in the paint, all start with our pgs getting beat. It can keep him out on the floor. We can run the offense through a lot of different players including Melo so I'd try and lessen Grant's offensive responsibilities the remainder of this year, but tell him he needs to focus on D.

I am not down on Galloway at all, but that's because i view him more as a combo guard then a pg. When he's at the point he still struggles, especially on offense. I would like to see him paired with Grant. He has that certain something extra where he's not afraid to rise to the moment.

Grant looked bad to me. He still seems like he doesn't know the offense that well and he looked off his teammates at times to throw up a tough shot at the rim.

If they weren't trying to win then they could of played Grant more but if you're trying to win a game then you just can't play Grant that much. Now i'm hoping that they realize that they're not making the playoffs this year and start playing Grant more to see what the kid can do with consistent minutes and i think they will soon but as long as they think they actually have a chance at the playoffs they're not gonna give him many minutes. It will come soon though.

First year, Wilson Chandler was pretty rough and inconsistent and then had a fantastic April to finish the season. I'm hoping Jerian can do something like that - develop some confidence heading into Year 2 and also a sense of what he needs to work on.

Grant needs to be on the floor 30MPG at this point, no matter how he's playing, IMO.

Time to put him out on the floor and let him grow up. There is simply no reason to play Calderon at this stage of the season, and the most important for our back court is to determine Grant's future role on this team.

We have 96MPG for our guards...Grant and AA get 30MPG, Gallo gets 25MPG, and give Jimmer 11MPG, so we can see how he can do. If Jimmer is not good, sign Trice to a 10 day and see how he does.

The big thing for the rest of the season is to see if Grant is a player, and begin to give KP a greater role in the offense.

Until Grant buys a shot then he will not be very successful.

When was the last time we had a player that got better in yr 2, they almost always take a huge step back, Galloway being the most recent, what about Early..then they get traded, see THJ.

I think Galloway is learning to find consistency. His stats are lower because he's not playing 35 minutes a night anymore.

His win shares per 48 last year were .043, this year they're .093 - better than Patrick Beverley (who is at .075).

Galloway has gotten better, IMHO.

I would look to make sure Galloway and Grant get 30 minutes a night each the rest of the way.

I am up and down on that and more down then up. Gallo has NOT impressed me at all with his D or decision-making. His shot looked nice in November/December but has tapered. Once every 10 games he has a shot at the end of the game but that was just before making a god awful TO to put the Knicks in that position. He can't dribble or pass.

His shot is not as bad as his confidence in his shot is...and therein lies the problem.

He will do better if he doesn't have to worry about his playing time being linked to his production.
