Teams can offer approximately $3.5 million to sweeten deals under the current cap but what will happen when the cap increases next season? If it increases proportionally, it might be enough to entice a team to take Calderon's and/or O'Quinn's contract (e.g the Sixers or Suns). Just food for thought....

I don't think that cash offered in trades is tied to the salary cap.
