It crazy how we go crazy over players we let go, players we didnt sign, but I'm curious where the hell are they now?

1. Maurice Ndour- we said Phil should be lynched for not signing him
2. Nate wolters- Had a nice run with the bucks
3. chris copeland- signed with the pacers and was never relevant ever again
4. Larry Sanders-- quit basketball way too early in his young career

Frank Williams. Kept thinking he'd be the point guard of the future after those three glorious games.

I don't even remember how he left the team... did we trade him away or something? I really thought he had something.

ah - looks like we packaged him in the Jamal deal to Chicago and then he fell out of shape:

The New York Knicks acquired Williams in a draft-day trade in 2002 from the Denver Nuggets. He played sparingly in his first season, but found a bit more time on the court during the first half of the 2003-04 season. Unfortunately, new GM Isiah Thomas then traded for star point guard Stephon Marbury, and Williams was relegated back to the end of the bench. The Chicago Bulls acquired him as part of a multi-player trade in the next off-season, where Williams was popular due to his time with the Illini, and expected him to compete with Kirk Hinrich for the starting point guard job, but he showed up to training camp out of shape and spent most of the 2004-05 season on injured reserve. Dissatisfied with his effort, Chicago announced that he would not be re-signed for the next season. Williams signed with the Los Angeles Clippers on October 1, 2005 but was released four days later.

Where the heck is Tony Wroten? Sort of surprised no one in the league has given him a look.

Still think Jackie Butler could've been a starting quality player at some point...

I'm surprised Reggie Bullock never popped. Thought he'd be a good NBA player.

Well, Ndour hurt his knee in preseason.

You're missing Lavor Postell. I totally thought him and Frank Williams were the future of the team.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Mike Sweetney...I for sure thought we had a Stud that year. Dude was battling depression so it sucks to talk too badly of the situation

Ndour is playing for European Powerhouse Real Madrid... with our very own Willy Hernangomez.
Doesn't really have much of an impact right now though playing something around 10 min a game.
If this is due to injury I dont know.

Also one time Knicks GREAT Mardy Collins has become an international Journeyman... playing in France in Strasbourgh right now - but doing well there on mediocre international level.

I still think Phil made a mistake with N'dour. Its not that he would have been a world beater but at least you would ave someone with potential learning your offense. Instead the Knicks kept an open roster spot for most of the year and use the money on Lou instead of N'dour.

Oh well.

Yes, he had players ahead of him but he would have had the opportunity to practice with the big boys and play in Westchester at times. Although, Lance could have slid up to the two like he has in the past. I just think the bottom of the roster should be use for potential guys not retreads like Sasha or lou. Now, I said the same thing about Lance so there is that 1/1000 chance that it succeeds. Then again this is only Lance's 4th year in the league so he is not exactly like Lou and Sasha.

Like I said though the spot was left empty so was it really about him being in a crowded front court? It's not like that couldn't have cut him if he wasn't up to par or still signed Atkins to a D-league contract. They could have done everything they were going to do plus keep N'dour but they played him cheap and another team scooped him up. He got hurt so it's a moot point.

Maybe he is not good enough at all. Maybe he will never make it. Who knows.

I'd even be okay with them taking a look at Christian Wood over Lou, Sasha, KS, and Jimmer.

they played N'dour cheap? The Knicks gave him a shot and offered him a contract and he ran. I thought the Knicks have done their Dleague team very well, they have offered all their guys at least $75,000 on top of whatever they were making in Westchester, which is more than other teams?

N'dour went to the highest bidder and got his cash and extra cash by signing in Spain. Nice gig. Knicks will have a chance for him next year.

The Knicks offered him a contract then Dallas beat their offer. The Knicks tried to up their offer but he stick by his word. It is what it is.
