Here's mine...

KP
Davis
Westbrook
Batum or Shumpert
Rubio

Stay away from Overpaying Conley and chasing a redundant Durant. Don't make the same mistake we made when we rushed to get Tyson and missing out on CP3 a year later.

The goal needs to be to win a championship not simply make the playoffs by overpaying for other teams declining stars.

In the meantime, revist getting Melo to opt out in the offseason. Stockpile picks and assets. Maybe we get lucky again with another lottery pick. Field a competive young team that might even make the playoffs in the East like Boston did. Even if we aren't lucky to draft another difference maker like KP keep stockpiling picks and assets and go after Anthony Davis big time.

Obviously New Orleans can offer him the most money assuming the Saints owner isn't cheap, but they've never been a stable organization and like Lebron he may want to put himself in a better situation to win a ring and bring New York their first since 73.

I know this doesn't go in line with the rush to overpay Conley and make the playoffs next year but I got time and patience. Anyone else have time or are we all on borrowed time? Build from within. Build a team of young guys who complete every night, stockpile assets and the significant FA's will come.

Why is Davis, Shumpert, Rubio on your Dream list and WTF.

And your logic doesn't make sense. Melo to opt out in the offseason and you still find Durant redundant?

Hmm That's true.

I guess you can try to get Durant but if he chooses not to come sit on the money for a run at Davis

Davis who is signed through 2020? Come on man, you can do better than that.

Also, your dream backcourt of Rubio and Shumpert is still waiting to figure out how to make a layup.

Ok we will put Davis on the back unread for now. Hopefully he eventually wants out of NO before 20/20. So go after Durant and if he doesn't come keeping building from within and stockpiling assets

Davis is Anthony Davis? You don't think Anthony Davis and KP are redundant? Let me guess you want Davis because he scored 59pts and grabbed 20 rebounds last night? LOL.

Shump on your dream team??? Really? He is way overpaid and way untalented. How about a SG that actually can shoot the ball. Makes a team so much better. Besides everything else he is so injury prone. Nothing like living in the past.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Now THAT sir is funny. However I think you are showing some disrespect to "the best 2-way player since Ewing."

Melo is gone, Shump is back... Guns do you care about basketball at all or are you just putting together a team of your personal favorite action figures for a great fight?

My dream team changes so much depending on the different variables out there....

Our locks are KP, Rolo and Melo...

It would be a dream to have Westbrook....but on my team he would have to play off the ball. I also like him playing next to a shooter in the backcourt. Calderón in his prime would have been nice... but since we have Jimmer Ferdette, I want this cat to win. It would be a fantastic story if he came home and finally played to his potential.

So i got:

KP
Melo
Rolo
Jimmer
Westbrook

work that triangle and get out the way of Westbrook when we need to create something outside the triangle.

The best of the best are Westbrook, Blake Griffin, Curry (not leaving GS), CP3, Gordon Haywood, Greg Monroe

I think our best options right now are signing Gasol to a deal to bolster the frontcourt and re-unite him with Phil and become a mentor for KP. Maybe 3 years 30MM,

Westbrook
Anyone
Melo
KP
Greg Monroe

Last year at this time very few of us even knew the name Kristaps Porzingis.

Two years ago we were starting, as we entered a stretch run of trying to make the playoffs, the following:

Ray Felton
JR Smith
Carmelo Anthony
Amar'e Stoudemire
Tyson Chandler

Basically what I'm saying is... Predicting two years out... a lot is gonna change.

Man I used to be a bigger Drummond fan but recently I'm down on him for whatever reason. Still young and growing but the FT and shooting outside of 5 feet thing is bothersome. He's an obviously unworldly gifted athlete and gobbles up rounds and yet is poor at fundamentals like boxing out and defense. And then the Free Throw shooting again.

It's funny that Melo gets a hard time, but he took a team that won 20 games the year before he got there to the playoffs ten years in a row in a loaded Western Conference...

Meanwhile Boogie Cousins is laughably immature, has missed the playoffs six straight seasons - every season he's been in the league - and he's never ever even won 30 games in the NBA. And yet people act like he's a franchise player.
