I'm just expanding on the Rolo thread I made. Every single player is better than they are showing. That's not me being a Homer. It's watching games and knowing how these guys carry themselves on and off the court. They are all a good group of guys. Role players... but they all can be so much more. They all lack confidence, but when they ate rolling they look like amazing basketball players.

Affalo looks like Michael Jordan when he was on the wizards when he's rolling. When he's not he looks like a weekend warrior playing at the local ymca.

Galloway looks like an nba player. He's like Derek Fisher meets Mike Bibby. More often he plays like present day Calderón. You don't know what you are going to get day to day. He is always focused but we need production.

Grant is a major disappointment. One thing I never thought would be a problem with this kid and that's confidence. He's playing like a 19 year old kid that should have stayed in school. Nope, he's 23 and played 5 years in college. That's horrible. By now he should have overtaken Calderón and Galloway as the starter. There's no excuse. He's had plenty of chances to prove that. Now Jimmer might come in and take his opportunity.

I can go down the line and make up a story. That's what this team is, make believe. Are they pretending to be good players or are they all bums?

I believe in alot of these guys, but they all have had their opportunity. They all had their skate of minutes and injuries that opened up a stage to showcase themselves. They all failed to take advantage. They lack confidence. I'm almost starting to believe they don't care.... I'm not there yet but I'm starting to think that way

The players care, they just aren't good enough to contribute decently night in and night out. Maybe this gets addressed in the offseason.

cute. but they also need talent. lol. this team isnt talented enough to be quality. they need upgrades
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Well I agree with EnySpree! We've all seen this team play good ball and it wasn't that long ago. Literally 12 games back they were CONFIDENT and rolling. They aren't the most talented but they most certainly can play better than they have recently.

I also agree that the most disappointing player has been Jerian. He was supposed to be able to come in and adjust to the NBA faster than this. I remember so many believing Jerian might start off ahead of KP due to his age and experience. Most analyst felt that way too. I believe Phil also anticipated more from Jerian. IMO it's all in his head. Hopefully he can get his head right at some point.

I know LT hasn't looked the same. Last night it looked like he was coming back to life a bit. We need him back to his high energy ways. The same with DWILL. DWILL has so much talent but his lack of defense has Rambis choosing not to play him as much. He simply must get his act together.

On this team, Lopez, Galloway, Grant, and KP, are all players who I believe are much better on the offensive end than how they usually perform... and they are all players who have hesitated to take open higher % shots on numerous occasions.

I think that each player on a team should have the attitude that they should be the one taking a final shot in a big game.

Easy for me to say...much harder for players develop this kind of confidence. Lopez is the oddity in the 4 I mention, because he has been playing for a number of years...the others are relatively inexperienced at this level of play.

GS seems to be one of the few teams where this is true, IMO...lots of confidence in that group of players.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Confidence and we need 2-3 guards who emphasize great ball movement if you watch gs their ball movement is the conduit to their team wise confidence

RoLo spent so much of his career just being that defensive guy that it's deeply ingrained in his psyche. He's starting to get more and more confident in his offense.

Gallo started the year off very confident and then slumped. I do like that when Gallo drives and I hope we see more of that. Despite not being a great shooter he has to remain confident and aggressive.

Grant may just need a summer to get his game right. I don't know why he lost confidence but he can't be successful playing scared to make an aggressive play. He turns it over cuz he's passing when he should be shooting or driving.

KP will be fine when he learns to stop jumping on pump fakes. He's got to stay in games and even tho it was Jose's poor D that killed KP last night, he still has to learn how to deter shots without committing fouls early in games. We need him on the floor.
