Houston wanted 2 rotation players and a first round pick.

@MikeAScotto: Sources: Knicks turned down a Rockets offer of Patrick Beverley. Asking price of a first-round pick and two rotation players was too high.

Damn right that's too high, but that's what it took to get Randy Foye.... these gms have no clue what they are doing

That's crazy, they were going to give us Beverly and a 1st. I would have taken that deal

Figure Lance, Galloway and the 2018 with some protection perhaps.

I like Beverly but pass.

If you look at the WS/48 and Defensive BPM - Galloway is better than Beverley this season and younger and cheaper. Morey would've fleeced us with that trade. Smart to pass.

Galloway is better than Beverley RIGHT NOW. Hopefully Rambis continues to develop him and play him more than Calderon in the second half of the season.

We maybe finally have a GM who says no to bad trades. Beverly for a 1st rounder is a joke.

The Knicks were giving up the #1... did you leave out an "if" at some point, or did you simply misunderstand the trade?

Good at least we are learning. Those picks will come in handing when we are in the lottery again once Melo is off the books or sooner

hey man, not for nothing, but it seems like you take alot of comments to heart around here. I know you been around here long enough, but just seems like you get upset with posters often. just saying, no malice intended.

Good, guess they were seeing how desperate Phil was to make the playoffs. Not enough to mortgage the future.
