I keep watching him and he just looks more and more like a scoring PG. Not a great athlete like Curry--but knows all the angles a great outside shooter A+ vision mismatch size at 1 great rebounder/defender. This guy is MUCH more skilled than Grant in EVERY facet of the game. I try to think what he reminds me of--and he reminds me of a version of Steph Curry at Davidson. He doesnt have the pure body control athleticism or ballhandling of Kris Dunn but hes just better. You start saying 6-6 plus PG???

I've caught him a few times this year, seems promising. His post game kind of reminds me of Afflalo to be honest. Do you think he has the explosion and quickness to get by PGs in the league and guard them back the other way? I dunno.

He's a senior - you think he'll go late in the draft?

Side note - Perry Ellis looks like he could be Joakim Noah's little brother.

correction = perry ellis = Carlos boozer's little brother. lol
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He definately will not be! Why Because you just called him the "Next Steph Curry". Automatic killer when people start calling someone the next..... Famous for the many next "Michael Jordans".

Im talking about a very suitable version. A guy who can extend the game from 3 at the PG position. A guy who can see the court and make plays all over it--a guy who knows how to play basketball--knows who to play defense. I dont see him as a 30 point Curry--but an effective 16/18--7-7 guy who wins.

He is a good player. Projected top 15. How do you propose we get him? PG is the riskiest draft pick so it can't be too costly.

we cant get him. the knicks dont have any assets to get a 1st rd draft pick.

i dont think valentine will be a PG at the next level. hell be some kind of do it all player like green. these types of players are hit or misses. either all stars like Green, nice players like diaw or nothing at all

Hes going to be very good. if we took a good amount of NBA players and put them into his position at Mich State many of them would not duplicate his output. He does it against everyone--every team. With the size at 1 6-6 225 hes going to be a mismatch.

I guess my main scenario would be to trade our 2017 back into this draft with one of the teams who have too many to get Valentine and buy a second and grab Felder. Id give up Grant to get Valentine as well. If we got those two guys--well be fine for 10 years from 1.

I want the Knicks to spread the floor--I want them to make it a 30 foot guard. This will make the game EASIER. We CANT do that with Jerian Grant or any other guard because Calderon cant drive. Add Valentine and Felder with a pro PG and our who complexion changes. I like the character on both guys both play D rebound youd be drafting two potential star 1 who could possibly just play together down the line.

Oh good another thread about D.Valentine.....will you make another K.Felder thread next?? How many different threads do you wanna make about these two when we have no way of getting either one of them since they'll both be 1st round picks and we have zero picks in this draft??

Sure we do. We have future 1's Willy G Grant Lopez and other avenues. We can replace Lopez if needed in FA. Its more important to execute a plan to improve our guard lay Significantly long term through the draft free agency the summer league(possibly getting back Svheyd or other foreign guards) Golden State is 46-4 playing their Cs 18 minutes or less.

we dont have any 1st rd draft picks and i doubt well be able to get any of them in a trade (#ThanksBargnani)

PS Felder is good but i wouldnt place any bets on a 5-8 PG. if your gonna be that size you better have WOW skills like nate did at Univ of Washington.

He will be a solid player. Reports say he lacks first step explosiveness at the next level. I've seen him at around 20 pick in mock drafts. Probably the 4th guard in the draft.

ditto. i dont think hell be a guard. hell be a tweener type of forward. def not a PG or a game changer

I think you need to watching Mich State a few times and realize who their primary ballhandler play maker is--its Valentine. Hes a guard and hes their playmaker and primary shot maker. I think Valentine and Felder are the two best passers in this potential draft group--they both have special skills and out of this world basketball IQ. I want to open up the floor and make room for Porzingis and if we keep Lopez--take pressure off of Carmelo and we can do that by extending the floor of play--having guards who can extend with range create with speed who adhere to great team ball movement. GS is great because they are the best passing team. Thats what I see in these two players.

doesnt matter what you or what we want...lol i doubt were gonna get a draft pick that high to get valentine

also at mich state, hes their best passer so he initiates the offense. im not sure hes a PG on the next level.
