draft
Pretty simple what I would do
I'd be willing to trade my 2017 into 2016 for Denzell valentine if he's there to a team willing to swap out the only other player I like from projected 15-30 is going to go higher than that ( grayson Allen) otherwise that part of the draft is not going to help us. I'm huge on kay felder early rd 2 if we can get one of Boston's 5 seconds he's a transcended player who fits the mold of today's nba as an elite ball handler passer scorer with pesky smart defense and solid rebounding

Otherwise I'd probably sit out and see what falls out of the draft.

Free agency only three main targets. Batum derozan and boban m. We speculate on trades all the time but it's impossible as a fan to know what the Knicks will do

boban M? why? He seems like another nice big but...?

My #1 target is Batum. Hope the Knicks can somehow finagle another wing player in replace of AA.

Knicks can't trade their 2017 1st. Would 2018 get that deal done? Is it worth the risk?

Boban as a secondary free agent 4 years 22 mm

Denzel valentine is dray green from the 2 guard. I'd say worth it I think once the draft passes we can trade 2017( obviously with protection) so if a boston doesn't want to take it's 3 picks they could pick for us

I don't think it can be traded until after the Knicks make the pick. 2018 can be traded though.

Also, if there is anything to the Melo to the cavs rumor I don't think you trade first rounders.

I'm not trading a future 1st to get into this year's draft. All the draft guys are saying that next year's draft is supposed to be better.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Well lets see what happens with this melo stuff It would be in our best interests to have a pick and two maximum cap slots. I'm a big Denzel Valentine fan I like Grayson Allen and Hield too but two of those guys are top 10 picks

Valentine is playing himself even higher than what I would perceive as possible to acquire. If I had pick# 3 id take him and wouldn't think twice if someone thought I was reaching. He's the best pure basketball player in cbb

They could trade it to get their 2016 pick back. Not sure if they acquired a guaranteed 2016 pick From another team if they could trade the 2017. I believe they just have to have a pick at least once out of every two years.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Batum would be a major upgrade. Even is Valentine turns out to be a solid player, it's unlikely that he'll start year one. I watched Kay F. He looks like the real deal but then again at that size very few break through and it took Isaiah years. It's too big an issue on the defensive end.

One way I kind of use my own evaluation on players is I envision the NBA starting player( in this case Affalo) and I plughiminto the starting Sg position at Michigan state and I ask myself ifhe would produc e like Valentine. The answer is not close no Valentine is bigger faster and so much better at EVERY facet of basketball. I think he's an NBA starter right now and if not will develop very quickly into an all star.

Kay Felder is going to be a steal just like Isiah Thomas was its simple as that. They're the same size but Kay might be stronger is a better pg and plays a good brand of d the kind where he can hound 94 feet. I'd trade Grant for him without flinching

I'll keep my eyes on both yet while the method you use has merit, it's still college players vs Pros. Also, Valentine is 22. Is development college wise has maxed.

Yeah and you guaranteed us that a bunch of players were gonna be great in last years draft and either didn't even get drafted or they're playing in the d-league or sitting on the end of the bench. There's countless players that have great college careers and were supposed to be great NBA players that never make it every year.....countless players. We're talking about basketball lifers that are GM's that draft players that never make it in the NBA.

Each year there has to be dozens of players who make it to the NBA or the league would just stop right? The two players I'm talking about I'm the most confident I've ever been on both of them. I think of you watch the success of San Antonio golden stats and the breakout of Boston you'd undertsna d why. Ball movement ball handling thre point shooting and penetration abilities that's what NBA teams are looking for. We have the big guys and when you go through the draft you at least control your own destiny with the player instead of reliance on free agency. I think Valentine is the third best player on the draft so if we can get him somehow at 16-20 it would be a couple. Isiah Thomas was drafted 60 so if you can get Felder 34-38 you are making one heluva good bet. You control him at 1 mm per for 4 years
