It's got to be. Change his game or not, doesn't matter. Dude chews up coaches and spits them out like sunflower seeds.

Looks like Kurt Rambis will be the latest victim to fall on the sword. Sometimes you just have to look at the common denominator in things. Only a coach like Thibs would stand up to his tyranny.

How many coaches did he play for before the Knicks? And how many coaching changes did the Knicks have before Melo? Yea... common denominator. Didnt really think this one out did you?

Only D'Antoni was gone because of Melo.
Woodson and Melo were very tight. Phil let Woodson go because Woodson had no knowledge and experience of Triangle or Phil Jackson's cultural beliefs.
Fisher was about a young guy who just didn't understand the coaching game quick enough on the fly. The Knicks want to win as many games as possible and definitely make the playoffs next year. They could not keep on waiting for Fisher to grow as a coach and not make mistakes that he was showing repeatedly he was making (Although I am not sure that Rambis will do all that better in getting wins).

Rambis is about closing the season out the right way for the Triangle, the offense, KP in particular. As we saw last night, KP was right away yanked out when he was not posting up or playing good man defense. Rambis will put the onus on KP to have better shot selection and to play better man defense. He will also run the offense consistently. I don't think he'll be back next season as head coach, unless the team wins more than half of their games with his as the head coach. I think they'll either bring in Walton or Shaw as the next head coach with Rambis returning as the associate HC.

So it's not about Melo - Melo from what I've seen only got D'Antoni fired. But others didn't like D'Antoni on the team as well. Seems D'Antoni even had the same problems when he coached Kobe, Dwight, Pau on the Lakers.

Who is the oldest tenured highest paid player on the Knicks again who happens to the franchise player and "face" of the Knicks (until Kristaps next season)?

Thought so.

I said this before when Melo didn't play in that Nets game it was the end of the season. Melo might have been injured I know but it was a statement game for him and his team mates. It was the how badly does he want to win moment.

Dude's just here to cash a check, make friends, build his brand, and axe some coaches along the way. Give him a break!

I have to ask if you even watch games or not cuz this thread seems to indicate that you don't watch games!!! This team would have won last night and many other games IF WE HAD BETTER GUARDS!!! MELO is the least of our problems right now. This kind of thread is just not helpful or current.

He was still in high school but JVG quit because of Melo. He sensed Melo's aura and it caused JVG to panic. JVG was also tired of smelling Melo's aroma from when he lived in Brooklyn. It's still there actually. I went there to smell it yesterday.

The OP doesn't make sense. The Knicks have been tossing coaches at a high rate before me lo got here. Melo wasn't on a team that had a ton of coaching changes before he got here. You can't even make a correlation. Yet you are staying causation.

Except there were also 4 coaches in 5 years before Melo got here, too.

Melo had two coaches before he came to the Knicks - Boeheim in Syracuse and Karl in Denver. Boeheim loves him. Karl had his issues with Melo, but has spoken extremely highly of him. Karl has had plenty of issues with other players too, see Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Glenn Robinson, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo, etc.
