Oh Lawd...

I think Phil needs to call Brian Shaw if he's going to run the triangle still.

Mark Jackson gotta be thrown in there too if if he wants to scrap the triangle

Out of triangle disciples, Shaw and Walton, you'd have to give the edge to Walton.

His learning under Kerr, and learning on the fly this season, showed he's able to implement a version of it, but make modern tweaks that are successful in today's game.

Don't want Shaw, next.

Thibs...intriguing. Though he runs players into the ground, he'd get MAXIMUM effort especially on DEFENSE and take this team as far as it can humanly go. Give Thibs a few studs, and this team would win 50+ tomorrow.

Mark Jackson might be decent at developing talent but he is a clown otherwise that will alienate the lockerroom with his strong personality and Jesus-stuff. I'd want no part of him.

My vote is for Luke Walton. He seems to be a pretty nuanced guy, is a triangle protege, seems to be a player-coach and more importantly, has experience in coaching the way that we want to/should play. I'd hire Brian Shaw as his lead assistant because I think that Kurt Rambis is a bum from his days in Minnesota.

Can we get MDA? I personally would love him - and who knows, maybe the strange bedfellows that Big Chief Triangle and 7 Seconds or less would create beautiful music together!

Thibs if there is a strong understanding between Phil and Thibs that he will use his bench and not run his starters into the ground. One thing I like which is a hallmark of his offense is you always see guys cutting, moving, not just the ball carrier. there is always someone available nearby to give up the ball if there is no play.

How about Isiah? He was a pretty good coach, and Dolan can save a few dollars as he's already employed here!

I don't think the Triangle is going anywhere.

That'd be historical. Lead both the New York WNBA and NBA teams to deep runs in the playoffs all while popping Lunesta pills like they're Viagra!

I would like to see Walton, because he could mix a bit of what the Warriors do in with the Triangle. Of course, we'd need major backcourt upgrades.

I vote simply because he's already got an emoticon here waiting for him.

I also like Walton, but this is from the Tim Cone interview on the Triangle thread began by newyorker4ever

Luke could be special, no doubt, but good players make good coaches, and there’s a lot of really good players at GSW. I think Luke is going to be like Phil. He’s going to be very selective where he goes. He can afford to wait for the best situation.

Cone is speculating, of course, but are we the "best situation" for him? He might very well be coming from a team that has won consecutive titles, and be the most desired coaching commodity on the market.

Are KP and crew enough to pique his interest?

we need a coach with a track record - no more hoping and praying - so I'd say sorry, Luke- no dice.

Let it be Thibs. He's proven himself. Walton might just have been riding the wave in Golden State.

Agree on this. We need a more experienced coach. Thibs has the experience, but the big question on him is that he is not in Phil's circle and he doesn't run the triangle. Would be totally shocked if Phil goes in the direction, but I wish he would

Thibs is not coming unless he agrees to run the Triangle. Which he won't.

Walton will run the Triangle, or at least a hybrid Triangle.

He'll be the top choice, but would never leave GSW during their historic season, so it'll be the summer.
