So spend it. (Remember this is based on a $90M cap, so salaries are going to be inflated)

My ideal would be:

Conley 4yr $80m, BUT it is highly unlikely he leaves Memphis.

So maybe:

Brandon Jennings 4yr $60M

Evan Turner 3yr $30M

Jeff Green 3yr $30M

we can go over the cap to re-sign Galloway and Lance to ~$5M a year deals, I believe.
I'd let Seraphin go, let Amundson go, try to move KOQ to get more cap room, try to sign Hernangomez

Lineup:

Brandon Jennings / Grant / Calderon (I want to keep Jose as a coach on the floor type, he's a good presence)
Evan Turner / Galloway / it'd be nice to get a SG in the second round somehow
Melo / Jeff Green
KP / Lance Thomas / another PF somehow, maybe keep Amundson
Rolo / Hernangomez / maybe Bachynski from the d-league

That's pretty good if we shut Melo down now and get him healthy for next season

You would give Jennings 60 millions for 3 years???

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

MCW would be so terrible in this offense. Grant would be better. Wroten would be better.

They literally quote Stan Van Gundy saying the rumor is complete bull ****.

I don't think they'll trade him. I think he will be a free agent who Detroit will try to keep, but I think he'll want to be a starter. Just my opinion. But I think for this season, Detroit needs Jennings a lot more than Thad.

What makes Jennings 37%FG 30%3pt a good signing at 4yrs $60mil and MCW terrible at 46%FG & 32%3pt?
MCW 6asts, 5rebs & 1.5stls vs Jennings 3ast 2rebs 0.5stl

Trade Melo and Calderon for Bobby Portis and Derrik Rose then get Durant

Rose/Galloway/grant/Afflalo
KP/D Williams/Lance
Durant/Portis
Lopez

This roster would make me forget Melo)

If D Wilkiams or Agflalo don't resign then securing services of Durant more likely

Really?? I'm not so sure i'd choose those two over Jennings cause Jennings can do more of what we need and is obviously better than either one of MCW or Lin.

I think they'll look to trade him and of course SVG is gonna say they're not looking to trade him just in case they can't trade him they don't want him thinking they were trying. Wouldn't it be great if the Nets do trade for him and then we sign him in the off season??

You have to remember though that Jennings is still trying to get himself adjusted back to playing after being out so long so his numbers are gonna be down until he gets his game back.

If i had $34 million to spend i would love to end up with something like this:

B.Jennings or R.Rondo--4 yrs $60 mil
E.Turner--3 yrs $30 mil
Marvin Williams--3 yrs $27/$30 mil or i'd sign J.Noah--3 yrs $21/$24 mil

So obviously what i want for this team is of course a legit point guard, a shooting guard and a big man that can do what KOQ doesn't do which is play defense and rebound the ball and whatever offense that big man has is a plus.

I'm on board with this.

I don't know what the market will be for these players. They might all be $15M per year players with the cap rising. Almost every team is gonna have like $20M to spend this summer.

the only player who fits the team is evan turner. jennings and grant don't, and besides they don't seem like high character people.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I think Jennings would be a great fit for this team. He's got a good mid-range jumper.

What are you basing his low character on?

If the goal is to win now...

I'd start by dealing Jose Calderon, Cleanthony Early, Kyle O'Quinn and cash incentives to the Clippers for Lance Stephenson's expirer and CJ Wilcox. The primary goal of the deal would be to push our available cap to $54 million. The secondary goal would be to see if Stephenson can be a credible rotation player and help us with a playoff push.

My first offseason move would be to deal Kristaps Porzingis, Jerian Grant, CJ Wilcox and the rights to Willie Hernangomez for Anthony Davis. The Pelicans should rebuild and who better than an emerging superstar on the 2nd year of his rookie contract? I think this will have legs by the time Dell Demps is fired. That should leave us with $45 million in cap space.

I'd then approach Al Horford in free agency and guage his interest in becoming a running-mate of Anthony Davis and Carmelo Anthony. I'd frontload the deal to offset his declining production at $25 million per for max years (which I think is 4). Should he accept, I'd then try to engage the Hawks in a sign and trade where we send back Robin Lopez, to help stymie the impact of Horford's new contract on my cap space. If successful, we'd only be paying $11 million for Horford's services, in effect, which would be a bargain. Cap would stand at $34 million.

With that $34 million, I'd pursue Demarr Derozan on a 4-year/$85 million deal. I know that he is good friends with Lowry but could he turn down the opportunity to join a looming contender? If not, our cap would stand at $13 million.

With that remaining money, I'd:
1.) Re-sign Derrick Williams to a 4-year/$40 million deal ($10 million per)
2.) Sign Nene to a one-year $3 million deal.
3.) Use my Bird Rights to re-sign Lance Thomas to a 3-year/$20 million deal ($7 million per)
4.) Use my mini-mid level exception to sign Mario Chalmers to a one-and-one deal ($5-$6 million per).
5.) Sign Eric Gordon to a league minimum deal to be a 6th man off the bench.
6.) Re-sign Lou Amundson to a lower level exception.

STARTERS
PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: Demarr Derozan
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: Anthony Davis
C: Al Horford

BENCH
G: Langston Galloway
G: Eric Gordon/Jimmer Fredette/Tony Wroten
F: Lance Thomas
F: Derrick Williams
C: Nene

...and if either/both Lance Thomas or Derrick Williams' contract demands are too unreasonable, I sign Jeff Green. If both leave, then I sign Green, promote Lou Amundson and look for a more healthy guard than Eric Gordon. Can't think of any but wonder how Matthew Dellavedova fits in. I also wonder if he and Al Horford could bury the hatchet.

STARTERS
PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: DeMarr Derozan

ROTATION

Say DWill and Afflalo opt out... we have ~$34M cap room...
