I'm guessing it is unlikely they will be able to move him. If he is bought out, would you sign him on the Knicks? I personally have a soft spot for him, my favorite Knick from a terrible era. He was the lone bright spot for many years. Yes, he's horrible defensively, but off the bench he could be a nice spark and good fit in the triangle offense with his passing ability and overall skill-set. I bet NY is his top choice, he still owns property and he has already won a title, so i don't think tagging onto a contender is his first option, he wants a role. No doubt he could get one here. Thoughts? Or has that shipped sailed?

I'm going to have to dig out my 'jazz hands' gifs. Having DLee as rim protector behind our guards will give me nightmares.

I was just thinking about that possibility the other day in the RoLo to Boston thread. I would happily take Lee back as a big off the bench. The problem now is we are already pretty set in the front court - can't see adding another body up there unless some combination of O'Quinn/Seraphin/Amundson are moved before the deadline.

Nostalgia aside, his passing definitely would be welcomed here, and Lee can spread the floor on offense well enough for a bigman.

He'd be a perfect triangle big, but look likes we have a glut of power forwards already.

Need guard help ASAP. We need to at least make the illusion that we're competing for the playoffs, for both the fans sake and for the sake of progress.

I truly miss David Lee's intrinsic ability to get out of the frame insanely quick whenever someone's ready to posterize in the lane. It's a great talent that can't be taught.

Yeah, if he can't even get planing time over defensive stalwarts like Kelly Olynyk these days. I don't want Lee's soft tendencies rubbing off on KP.

He'd be our 3rd best PF/C (counting Melo as an SF). For a low price, he'd be worthwhile.

He only makes sense if we trade away O'quinn, which I don't see happening

Agree. How many times do KOQ or Seraphin come in and the wheels come flying off a game.

He'd be my choice for first big off the bench.
