I personally have a soft spot for him, my favorite Knick from a terrible era. He was the lone bright spot for many years. Yes, he's horrible defensively, but off the bench he could be a nice spark and good fit in the triangle offense with his passing ability and overall skill-set. I bet NY is his top choice, he still owns property and he has already won a title, so i don't think tagging onto a contender is his first option, he wants a role. No doubt he could get one here. Thoughts? Or has that shipped sailed?
I was just thinking about that possibility the other day in the RoLo to Boston thread. I would happily take Lee back as a big off the bench. The problem now is we are already pretty set in the front court - can't see adding another body up there unless some combination of O'Quinn/Seraphin/Amundson are moved before the deadline.
Nostalgia aside, his passing definitely would be welcomed here, and Lee can spread the floor on offense well enough for a bigman.
