The obvious choice being Ben Simmons. Lakers are in a unique situation to build a young core specifically built to harass Golden State in the West. With some responsible cap management, they could be become relevant again if they don't go for the quick fix. Not sure how patient Lakers management will be, but if they can channel some zen, they will be a fun team to watch grow in the West like a phoenix rising out of Kobe's ashes

I think the way they have catered to Kobe and made a mockery out of this season doesn't make me real eager to see them do well.

Their ownership/management has been as bad as it gets. Also, I really don't want to see the 76'ers get another #1 pick.

See I do. If the Lakers get a star he's staying. If Phili gets a star he will be a FA option when he looks to get the hell out of dodge.

I think the lakers have a chance from going from really bad to really good very quickly if things fall right for them. They already have some really good young talent in D.Russell, J.Randle, J.Clarkson and L.Nance, they have a ton of money to spend in the off season and no matter how bad they are this year they're still the Los Angeles Lakers and they play in LA which players love and many live in the off season even the players that don't play on a LA team and they're gonna get another high draft pick in a draft that has some good talent coming out especially in the top of the draft where they'll be picking. There's a lot of rumors that Durant is going there this off season and Westbrook will be following him in the next off season. I'm not a Lakers fan and would rather see them lose than win but they have a good chance of being really good in two years.

Phuch the Lakers. PHuch the Celtics. PHuch the Bulls.

Phuch them all until the knicks get another chip in my lifetime. Randle, Russell and Simmons is a nice core for sure to build with.
Who would I like to get that pick? I don't really care. Maybe The Wolves. Those folks suffered long enough. I don't mind if the nice folks in Clevelenad get a chip to celebrate, or other places that have not tasted success.
Phuch Orlando, they got Mickey Mouse and other cool shyte to keep them busy. Miami has enough. ATL is long due. Philly in due time might get it together. Im ok with OKC, Phoenix, Spurs or Mav's but not this Houstan team with Dwight. Toronto kind of gets under my skin for some reason and they got Hockey to keep them happy so I prefer not. Brooklyn is NEW YORK so if Knicks don't, Im down with them. I live in North Carolina and Im good with Hornets one day making a run but they need lots of parts. Pelicans would be cool. They have embraced that team. I wanted the clippers to win so they can shove it up the Lakers Arse but Rivers and Pierce are Celtics and Griffin is a shyt. GSW has great fans and its good story so if they repeat that would be OK. Portland is only pro team there and I recall the 77' team winning which was a neat thing at the time. The city went nuts over it. Nuggetts are nothing to me. Kroneke is an awful owner and other than Gallinari/Wilson They are just Melos "Old team". Detroit, Eh, been there done that. I like Stan Van enough. Bucks look like they have a good future and for some reason paying for trading Kareem. Kind of like the Bosox trading "The Babe". Cool new uniforms and new ownership injecting some life into the franchise.

So if you ask me about the Lakers I really could give two Shyts and phuch about them.

Better a Western conference team gets the number 1 pick. Wouldnt mind seeing both the Knicks and the Lakers rise again. Another meeting in the Finals down the road, after all these years would be fun, and good for the league.
