Got to town early and had a great meal at "Blue". Streets were cleaned and "Uptown" Charlotte as they like to call it ready for the big game. The Football game that is!

Good thing I ate, maybe 30% of the concessions were open, huge long lines at the ones that were. Good sized crowd.
No energy in the building for either side.
My coat fell on the floor and the azzhole behind me spilled his beer all over it. Naturally when I went to put it on I got stank on me as well. I parked close so it was no problem, except for the traffic.

Oh, the game. It sucked. Knicks sucked. They tried passing, nothing worked. Melo looked dead as did KP. Rolo looked good in the first quarter then he started getting chippy.

Had excellent company with me and we listened to David Bowies new album and other Bowie rarities between good conversation.

Would love to hear why Lopez is back to being benched in the 4th. Fisher was doing this early in the season and we were losing games. As soon as he started playing Lopez in the 4th, we started winning more games. Now he's back to benching him in the 4th and you can see the result. I know its conspiratorial, but from afar it looks like Fisher is determined to prove he can win without Lopez. Did ROLO set one hard pick on Fisher too many?

Real sad about Bowie. Was fortunate enough to have front row center seats to see him play The Elephant Man on Broadway when I was in high school. Amazing performance. Also saw him at the Meadowlands on his Sound and Vision tour. Aweome concert, Adrian Belew was on guitar.

In one part of the show, they dropped a huge silkscreen down from the top of the stage, and a 30ft Bowie was projected on it, then Bowie sang a duet with the giant Bowie, then the projection kneels down in front of Bowie and light comes out of his eyes and shines on him. One of the best concerts I ever saw. What an amazing life he lived, will be missed.

I think that Lopez bruised his knuckles on CP3's face.

Great vintage show you saw with Belew. The man was an amazing artist. Thru the gimmicks the music was brilliant and stood the test of time.

Thought of Bowie more as a trendsetter than someone who resorted to gimmicks. He was a great performance artist as much as he was a great musician. Its what allowed him to transition to acting so effortlessly.

Ziggy was a bit a gimmick as I thought the music was not in synch with the get up. Thats a testament to the music!!! After that I thought the music and his incarnations afterwards was better suited to the music he was making. Ziggy got him attention and he was smart to retire it right away. Splitting hairs here. To then go to the Phlly sound of the thin white duke was amazing in contrast!

"Black tie-White noise" is largely under rated.

Only saw him live once for the "Glass spider tour" that generally poorly received at the time for being overblown and pretentious. It was actually became the template for many big acts to take on the road and was seen by 6million people world wide.
It was indeed over the top but a great set list of songs and we had a great time. This was 1987 or 88'.

Not as cynical as you are about Ziggy. Not suggesting that Bowie pulled off everything he tried, wasnt a big fan of Tin Machine. Thankfully almost everything he did in that concert was classic Bowie. Joe Satriani opened, sounded great, but after about 15 minutes, I felt like my head was going to explode.

Anyway, my point is that I wouldn't categorize Bowie's misses as gimmicks, I see it more as Bowie trying to push the envelope with questionable results.

Gustav,

I use the Ziggy persona as it was his breakout era that propelled him. I do agree with you. I didn't say it missed but the music was so darn good his flaming red hair and wearing a dress to me was a distraction away from the music, but like I said it got him the attention. Fail? Hardly!!!

Back to knicks, A few weeks ago someone mentioned KP needed a uniform that fit him! True, the kids trunks droop and his long torso makes the smallish "NEW YORK" and his single number look out of place!

Got it Nalod. We're the same age, sad to see the music legends we grew up listening to dying one by one.
Gettin' old!

Maybe the baggy clothes are because KP wants to look bulkier than he really is. Porzingis plays like his core is getting stronger. He's absorbing contact better when he tries to muscle his way into the paint. Really hope Grant hits the gym in the offseason.

Grant looked awful. It was a throw away game but I paid for tickets!!!

We noticed KP looked bad in warmups, he'd miss 4 shots in a row, then get his arch right then hit 2-3 from long range. Watching him off the ball whats impressive is his quick feet, for 7-3 that is!!!!!
