Carter...he's the best player up there. Next on my list would be Ilgauskas.

If the question is who would you rather have, then I say Ilgauskas because he is a 7'3" center and an expiring contract, but I don't really think we can get him. Now, attainable and possible to get I would say Crawford because he is young and his deal would rid us of Anderson and possibly Moochie.

vince is by far the best up there, but i dont think we have a realistic chance of attainig him, so im gonna go with Toine.

i know he doesnt play much defense, but this guy is a underated rebounder, and he have great court vision. Especially in the playoff against the nets, martin and kittle would come and trap marbury in the corner and then marbury would throw the ball to kurt, and kurt would just catch the ball and stand there and then pass back to marbury with 10 on the shot clock. We need big men who can move and handle the ball, and when nj played zone, we had no answer, no outside shooter. It was painful seeing shandon throwing up threes, i just think with toine, we will be able to spread the defense

i know toine used to chuck up 3s in boston, but when he went to the mavericks, he only took bout 3 or 4 a game, thats not so bad considering we dont have any real 3 point shooter cept houston. (marb is a slasher and gazy is more adept at shooting those fadeway 17-18 footers)

and also i like the "shimmy", that was some ghetto shake.

Stromile is the tastiest name on that list. So that's my vote. But I know he aint coming here. IF i had another vote i'd say JC.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

My vote is Damps. Guys who lead the world in offensive rebounds (5 per game) don't grow on trees! I'm not interested in Vince "I injured my fingernail" Carter unless we can't get Jamal.

You know, I had visions of sugar plums and I thought- 'Oh My!, Isiah is going to get Damps and Crawford'.

Doesn't look that way- and we'll be lucky to get one player-

My vote and preference is Jamal Crawford- all are nice players- but Jamal is the youngest (with swift) and skilled and has upside-

I am tired of getting over the hill has-been NBA stars or over paid marginal talents coming off a good year.

If Crawford is a bust, a complete bust- I can live- he was worth the chance.

But Damps? Who can say what he'll do. Walker would be a nice player- but he seems to overlap with Tiny Tim Thomas's skill set and TT would surely have to go for that deal to make sense.

And Vince? He's one band aid away from being Penny Hardaway.

I'd love to get Z- but he would probably go done with a career threatening injury the day after signing a max extension one month into the season after averaging a 24/10/2 set of numbers!

Crawford, but ONLY if we can get rid of Shandon and Moochy.

If we cannot get rid of Moochy in the JC deal but receive Jerome Willaims and ERob's long contracts (plus JC signed starting around $9 mil for 6-7yrs), forget it.

No Dampier. No Walker unlesss we can get rid of bad contracts. i'm against trading KT for him. I don't think we have shot at getting other big names like Ilgauskas, Carter, or Swift.

I'm against this team over-paying for second/third tier players. No more Weatherspoons, Shandons and Norrises on this team PLEASE. The management needs to be smart; ala Jerry West.

So, unless we can sign or S&T for a decent player at a decent price, I say:
1. With the MLE, go after servicable SG and C (I like Rodney White, Mimh, Gadzuric)
2. keep our expiring contracts till the trade deadline,
3. focus on building the youth. We got great future in our hands in Sweetney, Ariza, FW, and possibly Andre Barrett.
4. Before the trade deadline, go after real quality players who makes the team better, plus obtain future draft picks.

If there is a guy I hate more than Houston on the Knicks then its Shandon. That another good for nothing clown the Layden/Chaney regime dumped on our heads.
