i think it is now safe 2 say that the knicks r not going 2 get dampier and need 2 look in another direction. I think that wright would be a great fit in ny. he is 6-11, very athletic 4 a center, and he is a year younger than dampier. West has never been a big fan of his so i think some kind of a deal can b worked out 2 get him in which we wont loose that much. Wright is not a great center but he has had solid seasons as a starter out west and has had to deal with a lot of situations where his minutes got cut down like last year with memphis' deep rotation strategy. And if IT can also bring in crawford then this woud end up being a very solid off-season 4 the knicks.

Wright is no upgrade over Mohammed, which means he is pretty bad. The only thing he might have over Naz is his defense, but then again, he is not known to be a defensive stopper either. Notice he is not a shotblocker at all, prolly almost as bad as Mohammed in that department. He is really the same thing, a guy who can rebound and dunk, both things that Mohammed can do. Looks like we are goign to have to conintue on w/out any shotblocking ont he team which makes our defense really really bad. Soo look for a lot of teams scoring in the 100's on us unless we do manage to get Dampier. With defensive liabilites in TT and Houston, and even Marbury, we have a really really bad defensive team.

wright is definatly an upgrade over nazr. he has played in the west and has continually put up better numbers. he is bigger and with more minutes he could really shine in ny. getting damp woud obviously be better but lorenzan is a good second choice. i woud trade kurt 4 wright in a second.
