Oh my! That dude is something special. I have never seen anyone marginalized Lebron since he enters the league. He always appears to be stronger, faster, and more skilled; but, tonight Steph reached a stratosphere that is reserved for the likes of Jordan and many of the other greats.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is now safe to crown Steph as the BEST player in the league. I know what Barkley said about Leonard, but Steph is making everyone look like fools::))?

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Yup. He's doing it with superlative skill, smarts, and finesse. Not brute force or athleticism. He's awesome. I was embarrassed for the Cavs tonight.

You aren't kidding. Bully ball is on the way out, in is finesse, smarts, and pure skill.

Steph is undoubtedly the best. And to think we were one pick from him being a Knick. Oh the wounds of what might have been.

Giving how poorly our front office has been in the past, chances are if he were drafted by the Knicks, we would have traded him to Toronto for Bargnani::::))))

Na, we woulda run him out of town when he was injured early in his career. That's what we do here.

As much as our front office was stupid, I would've imagined Donnie Walsh and D'antoni would want to keep and pair him with Melo.

Except Denver would have held strong on Curry-or-no-deal until Dolan intervened and forced Walsh to pull the trigger.

The irony of this is if MDA and jerry were already in Philly this summer, we probably would have missed out on KP as well. They would have absolutely drafted him over a traditional post player like okafor who does not fit a system they want to run. Thankfully lightning didn't strike twice.

In most cases, probably, but if there is an exception to the rule i feel like dantoni and jerry are the exception. Both are great international scouts. He wanted Gallinari over Eric Gordon no question, when most wouldn't have done that. I know the situation is different, but for those who properly scouted KP, there isn't as much of a surprise. How quickly he is adjusting to the NBA is the surprise, but his potential over Okafor is not. Chad Ford spent all of April-June saying KP was the 2nd best prospect and should be the #2 pick, and he wasn't alone.

well ... we will never know but I certainly won't blame hinkie for that pick. MDA would have grabbed Russell in a heartbeat if he had the chance.

My how we forget. Dont get caught up in the moment. Curry wasn't and never will be the first. Also, bully ball wasn't always the standard. Meet Pistol Pete. Unlike Curry, Pistol Pete had no role models to watch on youtube. He didn't follow a path that was already made by others. He created his own path that others (including Steph Curry) followed.

Its a great convergence with curry in this era and the lack of "bully" to knock him silly!!!

Pete didn't have the 3pt shot either.

Funny as GM it was Kerr that got Shaq and slowed the MDA machine down. Eventually Kerr replaced MDA with Terry Porter whom failed and they bought in Gentry to get it revved back up, the same Gentry who became his lead assistant in his rookie championship campaign!

Both are super fundamentally special players took aspects of the game to another level.
Back in the day growing up we all wanted the number 44 or 10. Clyde and Pistol were the cool guy's on the court!

I was waiting to see who was old enough to remember Pistol Pete, and not just from youtube clips. I'm jealous....I was born when the knicks won their last championship, so I missed some of these greats. But I'm also smart enough to understand Steph Curry is great for us just like Pistol Pete was great for others in his era. Both players come from basketball genes and grew up on the basketball court. Both were great shooters, with non traditional form. And both were entertainers with a small slim build. I need to watch Clydes old clips.....I couldn't describe his game. But growing up watching Alen Iverson, made me seach for Pistol Pete clips.....The 3 pt line forced Curry in a different type of offensive game. And I believe Pistol Pete would have been just as deadly from 3 as Curry.....Based on what I've read and heard about him.
