he's young, he hustles, he's athletic, he can play defense AND he would be cheaper than the others. a definite 3 year $9 mil deal can get him (maybe even less). he played really well with milwaukee last season and i think he would be very good fit with marbury.

I'm a big fan of him....he's like Camby with an even more raw offensive game. But his energy is terrific. I'd give him that deal. Bucks might not match if they get Etan Thomas.

I'd give him that deal. He would help a lot and would be an upgrade at center as a backup. It would be a nice addition. Bring him.

i like him too, but imo, Isiah will use part of the MLE to sign Vin Baker, which i am against but that's just what i think he's going to do.

if somehow, he can land a guy like Gadzuric w/the LLE, that would be awesome.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I don't even think he is on Isiah's radar, but I hope he is. We need to free a roster spot for him, though. he's a nice high energy guy. Wont fill up the stat sheet, but he'll lead us to some wins.

I would love Gadzuric but I don't think he's a free agent. I just double checked on Insiders free agent watch and he was nowhere to be found.

If we strike out with Crawford I would try to split the MLE with Chris Mihm or Deshawn Stevenson as the primary targets (using 3/4's of the MLE). With the other portion of the MLE, if we got Mihm, I would go after Jon Barry. If we got Deshawn Stevenson I would try to get Joel Przbilla or Keon Clark.

I would not mind at all going into next season with:

Marbury, Frank
Houston, Stevenson, Shandon
TT, Penny, Ariza
Sweets, Nazr
KT, Keon Clark

Moochie, Dekembe, Cezary

Keon Clark has had some great years and if he's on the right team can really contribute on the defensive end and rebounds. Deshawn Stevenson is 23 years old and in my opinion has the potential to break out ala Joe JOhnson.

i have been fighting for this kid on 3 different boards, only to get shot down by almost all posters. he would be so perfect for this team. he is supposed to be the fastest big man in the game. not much on O but his D is awsome. rebounds and blocks shots like a cracked up ben wallace.

i think a front line of haywood (starter) and gadzuric (backup), would be a million times better (and cheaper) than a front line of dampier and ??????????.

i see przybila on that list to he would be an okay backup option. no O but again amazing rebound and block numbers.

i think thats all we need from our centre is rebounds and blocks, we should leave the low post scoring to sweets, and maybe even TT.

this is spending money wisely. damp at 30 signing for 6 or 7 years is a waste of money.

would you guys consider signing shaq (at 32 years old) for another 6 to 7 years??????? i wouldnt, so why sign damp to that length?

it seems like alot of old school knicks fans are coming around to the "maybe we dont need to win it all next year, lets just make a few good moves now and let some young talent develope". we can do this while we are still competitive now.

i say we make the crawford deal now, forget about damp, sign guys like gadz, haywood, even vin. then next year we see whos available for our expiring salaries

penny 15.7 mill
TT 14 mill
erob 7.3 mill

thats alot of expiring $$$$$$$$$$ to wheel and deal.

Haywood has already been offered a contract from the Bucks, and he wants the Wizards to match him. Now, if Gadz is really avaliable then get him for cheap. If the Crawford trade happens, and it looks like it will, then we will need a backup center, and what better than an athletic, young one who can play D?

Send Isiah an email!
