Also, Grant praising him for his encouragement during the game was great. Aaron said he wanted to be a leader. Nice that he has that kind of impact on the rook.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

This just goes to show the type of job Phil, Gaines and Mills have done in re-building the Knicks.

Our backup PG has potential. Derrick Williams has potential. We all know KP's sky high potential. With capspace looming, any free agent with half a brain jumps on this wagon. The Knicks have an identity, they have a star in his prime who is passing the ball and playing a champion not a chump. We are truly building something here. I give so much props to the job the front office has done this past summer.

Lopez, Afflalo, Williams, Grant ... these guys were lesser pieces we picked up that haven't gotten much hype but man they're turning out to be so vital. Love this group of guys.

I honestly wouldn't have been mad even if we lost this one, because of the situation. Lopez/Porzingis both in foul trouble. Melo out of the game. They were showing heart and fight and that's all I wanted to see. To get a win on top of that? Amazing.

There YOU GO COACH Mr. Fisher !

Your starting freaking PG Jerian Grant

forget his up and downs, he merits some playing time now

Grant rookie wins! this game hands down for knickerbockers.
Player of the game, KP Out (fouls), Melo Out (injury). Are ya kidding me?
If stinking refs gave Knicks more continuation calls , NY would have had
small cusion at the end.

Jose Calderone = 0 pts?

Let J.GRANT START !!!!! Now

Calderon was still very aggressive, but I hope his offense isnt falling back to Jose's baseline again. Could mean trouble down the road.

Not even playing Seraphin could stop the knicks.

why is grant running the point down the stretch????????????????????

So I can quote this after he wins the game for us.

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

knicks shot 27-30 from the line. How awesome is it that every position can go to the line and shoot a high percentage.

He got time because his play warranted it.

Fisher still had to make the decision. I thought he might bring Calderon in for Grant and not Gallo, even though Gallo had been a non-factor and Grant had done well.

Good decision for the team and for Grant's confidence.

Beating the Celtics is such a satisfying thing. Buddy at work is a C's fan - was getting my excuses ready for tomorrow, but thanks to Grant/AA/Williams, those excuses just became the salt to pour in his wounds.

My only critique of Fisher today. Why the 3 man backup rotation? I get going with Quinn, Lopez was in foul trouble and you wanted to give Porzingis in a breather. He takes out Quinn in min, puts in Lou. Then 2nd half tries Seraphin. All were pretty bad, but of the 3, O'Quinn is the guy that runs the offense best from what I've seen.

Still, brilliant job by Fisher by recognizing the match up disadvantages he had with Boston and going with Grant/Calderon/Affalo to close. He needed to go small and went so. Major props to him.

Great game by Jerian Grant. Hopefully huge for his confidence.

We're gonna need it tomorrow - Melo probably out against Brooklyn.

He needs to sit until his ankle is at least 90% if not 100%

I just hope its only a sprain.

sometimes you need to let rookies play through mistakes otherwise they wont get better. I have been a big fan of his since college, he is gonna be a good nba pg

No one ever said he wasn't. I've been one of Grant's biggest supporters since before the draft. I followed him in college, too. I love the kid. He's getting the playing time he's earned. Just like everyone else on the team. I think Fisher is doing a good job on that front.
