Everyone of us continually say that the New York Post is the paper to stay away from. Yet, did anyone notice that it's the Post that's reporting 99% of these BS rumors, and we continue to listen? It barely says anything in the New York Times and Newsday (Very credible papers). Vescey and Berman are 2 of the more famous writers, and get so much credit, yet, they haven't earned it one bit. It's sad. Why can't we just ignore that paper, b/c NOTHING that appears in it is true. Nothing. Zilch, nada, zip. Time to get back to Popper and Greg Logan. If they have nothing to write about the Knicks, then so be it. Better than reading stuff from Berman and Vescey. I am no longer reading or going by anything from the Post. I actually haven't in quite some time, but I will let none of the rumors get to me. It's ridiculous.

Maybe because they make the offseason more fun, or give us some topics to talk about... Moreover, GMs try to make thousand of deals that never see the light. What they say in the Post is not necessarily BS, but what Isiah is trying to do and facing as challenges... but if you don't want to read that paper and not talk about these rumors, do so

The Post at least gives me stg to read about my Knicks everyday, even if it's not accurate, rumors or speculation. I realize that and enjoy it, because b-ball and offseason moves, rumors and trades are fun

Fun but only for reading it, not believing it. Its really sad when you read those rumors and one day we are discussing a trade, the next day we make a good offer, the next we are close to a deal, and then the other day the trade hits a snag and the deal could be dead. It just makes me . Its better just to read it without believing it, and waiting for a real news to be announced...

I would much rather read what guys are doing on summer break. Who's working out with who, who's playing in those Houston pickup games, what the summer league was like...

I'm with Allen fan. Anyone notice the NY papers that cover the Knicks report rumors every day, but do nothing to actually cover the team? Did the post publish one article with so much as a summer league score box? Or a "how Sweetney is coming along" article? Or anything about Trevor's good games before he got hurt (dont even know what happened).

How's Houston's rehab? How did all those local invites do in the summer? Could one make the roster? Is Dermaar Johnson working out trying to get stronger?

Those papers and those articles are total crap. You could browse message boards and write for that paper with the crap they publish. I am so over it its not even funny.

The one thing I have found is the more something is hyped by a paper like the post, the less a chance it has of happening.

Yeah, I have much more interest in what the current Knicks are doing this Summer. I even want to know what Stephon is doing. Is he working on his left, like Isiah told him to do? And like Fish mentioned, even though he didn't have a great Summer, I want to know how DerMarr is doing. Houston said he would be playing real basketball by August. How's that coming? If he comes to training camp 100% healthy, I'll be just as excited hearing that, compared to hearing all these Vince Carter rumors, who I don't even like.

We all realize that, you haven't invented or made any revelation there !!!

The papers don't investigate that much and just report rumors to sell papers... wow, breaking news! So what? If you're so smart, you should realize that this is how their business works, like it or not, period, you're not gonna change that. If you don't like it, it's fine with them, they'll still sell their crap.

Many fans on this board have a good knowledge of the team, and like you would like more articles about the offseason developments of our players... but that's not the majority of Knicks fans or new yorkers. I'm sure more supposed-to-be-Knicks fans know more about the rumors than the fact that DerMarr johnson was on the roster!

Once it's all said and done, don't bother with those papers, don't even feel sick about it because that'd give them some importance you obvioulsy wouldn't like to give them.

Until we live in a perfect world, I'm just gonna have fun with those articles, as crappy as they can be
